The Kansas City Chiefs are just two steps away from making NFL history. But to reach the Super Bowl and win the trophy, Andy Reid’s team has another strong contender standing in front of them as a roadblock. Will the Chiefs defeat the Bills? It remains to be seen. Until then, the head coach of the Arrowhead team is delivering a hard-hitting reality check about Josh Allen and his team!
While speaking to the media on Thursday, Andy Reid was asked about the Buffalo Bills’s specialty of forcing turnovers. To which, the 66-year-old said, “They’re one of the best in the league, if not the best….They do a good job of stripping the ball and intercepting the ball…. they’ve got a good scheme that gives them the opportunity to do that.” So, as per Reid, the Bills’s defensive strategy is really smart, allowing them to capitalize on those opportunities. And with this, Reid acknowledged how dangerous and well-coached the team is, sending a strong message to his locker room.
This comes as a reality check as the Chiefs get ready to play against the Bills at the Arrowhead Stadium. They need to know their rival very well if they want to come out on top. Andy Reid made sure to acknowledge Josh Allen’s team’s specialty. But not only that!

The newly crowned 101 Awards AFC Coach of the year winner also talked about another superpower of the Bills. That is—Josh Allen being a tough QB to sack. And for this, Andy Reid again decided to be brutally honest, explaining, “Once you’ve got a hold of him, you better know, he’s tough to bring down, so you better finish it.” It’s true that due to his ability to evade pocket pressure and the combination of athleticism & mobility, Josh Allen is tough to sack. Even the regular season stats of 2024 confirm that. Allen was sacked just 14 times while the average sacks of QBs in the season was 35. Hence, Andy Reid wants his team to understand the toughness portrayed by the Bills and their quarterback.
But not everything is against the Chiefs. There is one advantage for Andy Reid’s team over the Bills.
Andy Reid clears a major positive factor for the AFC game!
The Chiefs are no stranger to playing tough or big games. And with Josh Allen’s team, it is definitely going to be the same. Andy Reid was asked if his team has an advantage over the Bills, having played them multiple times. To which the HC responded, “Listen, it normally doesn’t hurt, for sure. I don’t know how you weigh out the advantage of it, but I feel like we play these guys all the time. They know us, we know them but … to answer your question, I’m glad we have all those guys, and you’ll need all of them.”

Andy Reid is pretty sure that even though the game is tough, their familiarity with the players and the team overall is quite helpful for them. However, let us remind you that the Bills won in their last meet-up in the regular season. They broke a 15-game winning streak. But that was a regular season game that took place at Highmark Stadium. This one is the playoffs, kicking off at Arrowhead. As we all know, the Bills don’t do well against the Chiefs in the post-season. That monkey will be firmly on Buffalo’s back.
Josh Allen is playing for more than just his first post-season win over Patrick Mahomes and his first Super Bowl. He’s playing for pride. To avoid going down in history books as the first QB to go 0-4 head-to-head against another QB in the playoffs. Let’s see if he can overcome Andy Reid’s tactical genius.
