With the Thursday night football win, the Detroit Lions became the first team from the NFC and the third team overall, who clinched the playoff berth this season. Although there was a moment when it felt Jordan Love’s Green Bay Packers might steal the victory, luck supported Dan Campbell’s team at the tying moment in the end.

So, as obvious, every Detroit fan is super excited. Even the Lions’s star Amik Robertson, who appeared pumped up, blasted at the Packers. He, via reporter Will Burchfield, said, “They (the Packers) try to be competitive, but you can tell they’re not competitive.” Whoa! That’s really a bold statement from the Lions’s cornerback for his rival team.

But that’s not all! He even continued saying about Jordan Love’s team, while praising his own: “We the real dawgs. When we go out there, we hunting, we ain’t the hunted. I know the real them. Great team, man, but I feel like it’s a lot of pretenders.” It seems Robertson is extremely happy to find his team in the playoffs again. And no doubt, it’s definitely a great feeling. But let’s not forget the game was a dicey one!

The game was actually tied at 31, and just 43 seconds were left on the clock. The Lions had a choice – kick the easy field goal or go for it on fourth-and-inches. Most coaches would play it safe. But it was Dan Campbell. He made the gutsy call to keep his offense on the field, for which he faced backlash recently.

Nevertheless, David Montgomery took the handoff and charged through the line for a 7-yard gain. This plan luckily worked. Then two plays later, Jake Bates stepped up and nailed the game-winning 35-yard field goal as the clock hit zero. The Lions walked away victorious over Jordan Love’s team with 34-31.

Jordan Love acknowledged the mistakes!

Besides Dan Campbell’s victorious celebration, on the other hand, Jordan Love and his team is shattered with the loss. But keeping the sportsmanship, Packers’s QB Love talked about the recent loss, applauding Dan Campbell’s team. During a post-game press conference, he reflected on the team’s performance with a sense of accountability. He admitted they didn’t start strong and struggled to convert crucial third downs early in the game.

However, he mentioned that it’s an area they’ve been working on and improving recently, but this time, it fell short. Not only that! Jordan Love even acknowledged the missed opportunities to stay on the field and recognized that they “didn’t make enough plays early on and obviously put the defense in a tough position.

It’s clear he knows where things went wrong and ultimately, wants to address it moving forward.
