The offseason hits differently when you’re Patrick Mahomes. Some guys hit the golf course. Some take vacations. Mahomes? He’s out here dropping wisdom like he drops dimes on Sundays.

After the Chiefs’ brutal Super Bowl LIX loss, Charles Omenihu set the narrative loud and clear: Mahomes on a revenge tour.’ Omenihu didn’t hesitate when asked about #15’s mindset heading into 2025. “Extreme focus. Taking even more control of the organization.” That’s terrifying for the rest of the league.

The last time Mahomes took an L on the biggest stage, he responded with 4,839 yards and 37 TDs. Now, he’s coming off the biggest Super Bowl hole of his career. You do the math. Andy Reid, ever the steady leader, reminded everyone that setbacks fuel growth. “We’ll learn from this,” he said. That’s coach-speak for “Be very afraid.”

But while the NFL braces for what’s coming on the field, Mahomes has been busy making plays in a different arena—one that might just change the game for young fans. Patrick Mahomes, the author? You bet. Forget just being a generational quarterback—Mahomes is now an educator, a storyteller, and maybe even the NFL’s newest literacy ambassador.

The book? A deep dive into perseverance, discipline, and chasing greatness. Basically, a playbook for life. It will give young readers a front-row seat to his highs and lows—early struggles, doubters, and, of course, the confetti-filled nights. For parents hoping to teach their kids about hard work and resilience? Mahomes just made their job a whole lot easier.

This move puts him in rare company—athletes who use their platform for something bigger than the game. But that’s when the opposing fans pose questions about the authenticity because his own weapons, first, Rashee Rice, and now, Xavier Worthy, are breaking the very fundamentals of discipline with their off-field run-ins with the lawbook.

Williamson County online jail records on Saturday showed that Worthy was arrested Friday by deputies and held in the county jail on a charge of assault on a family or household member. More updates on that will follow, but it’s not looking good for Worthy. So, that’s where the whole idea of Stefon Diggs to KC settles in. And it’s not that bad, despite the history.

Plus, the whole rival joining hands to get that ring only adds to Mahomes’ lesson on resilience in his book. I mean, there will be immaculate vibes all along. A dart for Stefon from #15 under center on the gridiron, then off it, the two might get behind on the podium to throw some wisdom our way. Hmm… Even the fans are feeling it.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Mahomes' revenge tour and Diggs' potential signing make the Chiefs unstoppable next season?

Chiefsdom is urging Andy Reid to GET Stefon Diggs!

Kansas City fans aren’t the most patient bunch—especially when the wide receiver room is looking thinner than a kicker’s frame. And after Xavier Worthy’s arrest threw a wrench into Andy Reid’s plans. You can hardly question why the Chiefs Kingdom is screaming one name in sync: Stefon Diggs.

“Can’t beat them so join them, huh?” one fan quipped. It’s a fair point. Diggs did cause some problem for the Chiefs for years, whether in a Bills jersey or, briefly, with the Texans. But every time he thought he’d doe enough, there they were the mighty postseason mentality monsters, between him and his dream championship run! So, it makes sense if Diggs says, ‘Enough of so close yet so far, I am joining them.’ And to much surprise, despite the rivalry, fans are not hostile at this possibility.

“I would be so stoked,” another fan admitted. And why wouldn’t they be? Diggs, even at 31, still brings elite route-running, veteran savvy, and that chip-on-the-shoulder mentality that thrives in Kansas City. The Chiefs’ offense wasn’t exactly lighting up scoreboards last season—Mahomes posted his lowest yardage total as a starter.

Sure, Travis Kelce is still a cheat code, but defenses have caught on. Kansas City needs a reliable WR1, and Diggs checks a lot of boxes.

“Please do it,” one fan practically begged the front office. And honestly? It’s not a bad idea. Diggs’ market value isn’t sky-high due to his ACL tear (per Sportrac, he’s worth $96 million), and if there’s any team that can squeeze the last few elite years out of a veteran receiver, it’s the one coached by Andy Reid and quarterbacked by Patrick Mahomes.

“Big W,” another fan declared, already envisioning Diggs cooking defenders in Arrowhead. And the numbers back it up—before last year’s injury, Diggs was a top-five receiver for four straight seasons. 7 straight seasons with 1000+ receiving yards. He’s a red-zone threat, a master of quick slants, and the kind of guy who thrives under pressure. That sounds like a Mahomes weapon if we’ve ever seen one. Or heard about one.

“Come home, demon,” one fan wrote. Dramatic? Maybe. But in the weirdest way, it fits. The guy who has scored 2 TDs in 6 games against KC might be it’s missing piece. Weird? But that’s the name of the game here. Now, with all the falling pieces in the WR room, you have to think: ‘What’s stopping Andy Reid and the Chiefs to go for it?’ If they don’t make a move, they’ll be rolling into next season with a WR corps that makes Mahomes’ job harder than it needs to be. And we all know Mahomes isn’t about that life.
