As the Cleveland Browns refused to impact QB Deshaun Watson’s involvement in their week 1 loss to the Cowboys amid an ongoing lawsuit. Watson doesn’t seem to care much as he showcases his excitement on his 29th birthday by sharing pictures online. Although the lawsuits have somewhat tarnished his legacy on the gridiron, the Browns QB has continued to express his gratitude.
Posting an image of him holding a cigar on a possible yacht, his caption read, “Lord, Thank You for allowing me to see 29 years of life! May you continue to show me new levels of your World! FOREVER Grateful! MORE GLORY‼️🙏🏾 Numbers 6:24-26.” Even though a conclusion is yet to be drawn from the lawsuit filed against him by a woman named “Jane Doe,” citing s—– a——. Watson continues to focus on his personal growth by preparing for the week 2 match against the Jaguars.
Based on the details released through the lawsuit, the woman was allegedly forced to massage the Browns QB n—-. Sharing the woman’s accounts, the lawsuit conveyed, “aggressively insisted that she massage him.” As the news of this lawsuit spread across the halls of the NFL, they decided to release a statement, “reviewing the complaint and will look into the matter under the Personal Conduct Policy.”

Even the Browns issued a statement describing their take on the sensitive situation, “We will respect the due process our legal system affords regarding the recently filed civil suit and follow the NFL’s guidelines on this matter.” Amid all the talk about the lawsuit, Watson was not even aware of the news dropping in the media. “I found out this allegation and this file exactly when everyone else found out. Found out through media, saw it popped up on my phone, and then I called my attorneys and asked them what it was.”
Although Watson has seemingly denied those allegations while trying to steer his name away from the lawsuit, a cynical punishment could be waiting for him if he is found guilty of those charges.

Deshaun Watson faces potential punishment after another lawsuit
Before this lawsuit came into the picture, Watson had already settled 23 of 24 civil lawsuits citing similar s—– advances during massages. Although he has continued to claim his innocence, Watson is yet to be criminally charged for any of those lawsuits. Even this time, his attorney, Rusty Hardin, has strongly denied the allegations against him, “Deshaun strongly denies the allegations in the Jane Doe lawsuit filed Monday. We have asked him not to comment further while this matter works its way through the courts, but are comfortable he will ultimately be vindicated.”
However, compared to other lawsuits, this time, Watson could find himself in shallow waters as the attorney representing Jane Doe, Tony Buzbee, shared a few important updates. According to them, soon, a ‘pertinent video’ would be presented to shed more light on the incident.

Have an interesting take?
Well, if it does happen, then the Browns’ QB could potentially face jail time or even expulsion from the league. But that’s not all the hardships Watson could see himself being subjected to, as a violation of the personal conduct policy could see his contractual guarantees becoming void.
The Browns could even release him from the payroll before the 2025 NFL season comes across, citing contractual disputes. However, we are yet to be sure whether all of those things will take place. Otherwise, Deshaun Watson will continue his seventh year in the NFL, which is marred by controversies.
