Is Stefon Diggs' torn ACL the final blow to his career, or can he make a comeback?

The Buffalo Bills traded Stefon Diggs to Houston this year. And the Texans transformed his contract into a one-year deal, which means he will receive $22.25 million in 2024. Now with just a few months left for him from going into free agency, the athlete is facing another trouble.

According to the reports, wide receiver Stefon Diggs is suffering from a torn ACL injury which happened on Sunday while facing off the Colts. Now, as the team has placed him on injury reserve, Diggs is feeling shattered.

Hence, while breaking the silence on the unfortunate fate, Diggs shared a couple of photos of him from the game on his official Instagram account. In addition to that, he wrote a painful caption, saying, “I just want to say thank you to everyone who reached out in this tough a-s time it mean more than you’ll ever know… sh-t lame fr like sh-t not fair how much work a mf put in… but sh-t here I am … gotta trust God’s timing I’m a shake back !!! Love yaw.”

This injury is really tough on Stefon Diggs! On Sunday, he attempted to make a quick cut on his route but ended up with a serious knee injury in the Colts‘ game. Shortly after that, the athlete was seen holding his knee in pain on the field. This led him to exit the game. And just a couple of days later, it was revealed that he had torn his ACL.

Now with Stefon Diggs’ absence, the team completely relies on other receivers.

Stefon Diggs will be missed by the team!

While confirming the status of Houston WR Stefon Diggs, coach DeMeco Ryans called his injury a “blow” to the team. He said this because Diggs is an important part of the franchise. This can easily be proved by his, via ESPN, “rank seventh in the NFL in catches (47) this season. And second on the Texans in receiving yards (496).

Hence, Ryans, while speaking to the media, said, “Hurts our team to hear that news. He’s been such an important part of our team. And everything that he brought, not only on the field but off the field. The energy, the leader, and the way he worked every single day. Have to pick up the slack. A lot of guys have to step up and pick up the slack. Definitely praying for him.

Replacing Diggs, the team will now move forward with players like Tank Dell, Robert Woods, Xavier Hutchinson, and John Metchie III, to carry the offensive load.
