Jordan Love's tribute to women's sports—Is this the respect female athletes deserve from all male athletes?

Women’s sports have seen a massive uptick in recent years. From Megan Rapinoe’s successful NSWL journey to Catlin Clarks’ incredible WNBA boom, the transition in this field for women has been significant. Over the years, many male athletes have shown support and paid tribute to the growth of the women’s sports industry. The most recent addition to that list is Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love.

According to journalist Lauren Helmbrecht, Love was seen wearing an “Everybody Watches Women’s Sports” shirt in the Packers’ dressing room. The QB mentioned that this shirt was a gift from his fiancée and professional volleyball star Ronika Stone. It surely looks like a nice gesture of support and admiration toward women’s sports from the 25-year-old QB.

Love has always been a supporter of women’s sports, especially of his better half Stone, so much so that he was cheering for the San Diego Moja’s star when she threw the ceremonial first pitch for the Moja’s baseball counterpart San Diego Padres at the Petco Park, during the MLB side’s game against the Chicago Cubs.

The Packers‘ QB often visits his lover’s game whenever he can, which shows his support both for Stone publicly and privately. However, his support towards Stone is not limited to stadium visits. The QB often shares his admiration for Stone’s achievements on social media. Love celebrates her successes and milestones as his own. This surely shows the mutual support and strength of their relationship and also their commitment to one another’s careers.

Packers’ Jordan Love is yet to start this season. However, the 25-year-old QB is expected to make a possible return against the Minnesota Vikings on September 29th (Sunday). Love suffered an MCL sprain on his left knee and was initially expected to return within 3-6 weeks, but now it seems he might be back sooner rather than later.

In a recent interview on Wednesday, Love shared some positive updates on his injury situation. The Packers’ QB mentioned that he is getting better every day. He further said, “We’re building it up for sure. Every day is a little bit better. It’s based on how I’m feeling and basing it off practice and how I’m feeling and going from there”.

Earlier it was speculated that the Love was ready to be back last Sunday. But after going through pregame drills and conditioning, Love was ruled inactive for the Packers’ road trip to Tennessee for the team’s clash against the Titans. The young QB is currently recovering from his injury, with the brace covering his legs. So far, Love hasn’t shared much about his condition other than the fact that he is currently limited to practice and that his recovery is a daily process. In the recent practice, however, the 25-year-old was reportedly seen throwing passes only to the WRs.

It seems fans should be preparing themselves to see the QB back on the gridiron soon.
