Chris Russo has had enough! How would you feel watching the same movie over and over again? The first time, it’s thrilling, right? You’re hooked. The second time? Yeah, still a good movie, but you’re starting to notice things. By the third or fourth time, you’re just waiting for it to end. And that’s what folks watching the Chiefs win again and again have started to feel like. It’s killing the thrill. Of course, we’re not talking about the Chiefs fans here. While many call out the league for being biased towards them, a radio host has also jumped on the bandwagon. Yes, that’s Chris Russo we’re talking about.
Chris Russo, the host of Mad Dog Unleashed, recently joined the Dan Patrick Show, where he was asked about the popular theory that the NFL might be giving the Chiefs a little extra help. Russo didn’t hold back for a second. When it came to the refs not calling penalties on Kansas City, he wasted no time calling out Commissioner Roger Goodell. Russo bluntly said, “Goodell must have gotten on the phone and told the officials, ‘Hey, call the other one because let’s call the play dead that never occurred.”
Ouch. No mincing words here!

The Chiefs always seem to find themselves on the right side of some pretty controversial calls. And the latest example from their divisional game against the Texans had fans buzzing. First off, officials flagged Will Anderson Jr., the Texans’ edge rusher, for roughing the passer after what looked like a simple push to Mahomes’ chest. It was so light that it barely seemed worth a penalty. But hey, it extended the Chiefs’ drive, and they got a field goal from it.
Then, later in the third quarter, officials hit Texans linebacker Henry To’oTo’o with unnecessary roughness for a play that was definitely up for debate, hitting Mahomes near the neck as he slid. That call pushed the Chiefs deep into Houston’s territory, and, surprise, surprise, they ended up with a touchdown. Makes you wonder, right?
Anyway, Russo didn’t just fire shots at Roger Goodell. Indiana Fever‘s player Caitlin Clark and pop star Taylor Swift also caught some heat.
Chris Russo takes a dig at Caitlin Clark
The Mad Dog Unleashed host was pretty mad about having to watch Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift while the football game was going on. The 65-year-old didn’t stop with just calling out Roger Goodell. He threw some shade at WNBA star Caitlin Clark too, saying, “I never saw her once wear a Chiefs jersey, wear a Chiefs hat on, have her father wear a Chiefs hat and now all of a sudden, she’s now a big Chiefs fan. Ah, come on, stop, please. I understand you want to be a fan because they win.”
While on Dan’s show, Russo humbled himself, saying, “Caitlin Clark announced her fandom for the Chiefs years ago.” Surprised, Russo admitted he didn’t know that. Well, he needs to stay more alert because Clark has shown multiple times that she’s a Chiefs fan. And if that wasn’t enough, Russo didn’t hold back on Taylor Swift earlier, by mentioning, “I’ve had enough with Kelce. I’ve had enough with the girlfriend.”
Watch out, Chris, because the Swifties are coming at you.
Voicing his frustration, Chris Russo said, “America’s had enough with Kansas City, Dan.” He didn’t stop there, adding that he’s rooting for the Bills to win the conference championship. But Russo isn’t alone in wanting to see the Chiefs fall. Plenty of fans are feeling the same way. Now, all eyes are on Josh Allen, who’s got a lot of weight on his shoulders. So, can he bring Patrick Mahomes and Co. down?
