Imagine you were a prominent player for a major NFL team and then you got injured? Watching the games from outside the stadium will undoubtedly affect you and perhaps make you jealous. And well, this is the current situation with Aidan Hutchinson. The DE has been out since week 6 and is not happy about it. But why is he jealous though if his team is winning?
Well, look at the situation in this way. Everyone understands that Hutchinson is an important part of the Lions‘ defense. The man in 2024 played only four games but recorded 19 total tackles. He was there for the team’s defense when no one else was, and even though he is no longer on the squad, they are still winning. While it is beneficial for the team as a whole, Aidan Hutchinson is now questioning his role in the team.

The Lions have qualified for the playoffs. Assuming their regular-season dominance continues, no obstacle will prevent them from entering the Super Bowl. And Hutchinson wants to make a comeback by that time. The problem is that the individual shattered his Shin during the Week 6 game against the Cowboys. After that, he underwent surgery to repair the fracture.
This surgery will take 4-6 months before he is ready to go, and the Super Bowl is just in the recuperation process. The Super Bowl will be held in New Orleans on February 9th, which is exactly four months into the DE’s recuperation period. As a result, Aidan Hutchinson wants to ensure that his wounds heal as quickly as possible so that he can be available to his team.
