With an uncensored tweet that questioned the necessity of washing one’s feet, former Eagles center player Jason Kelce sparked an online debate. His audacious statement, “What kind of weirdo washes their feet?” went viral. Jason’s confession, however, was met with disapproval from the public and celebrities alike, with Will Smith going as far as to call this lack of hygiene “Nasty”. His younger brother Travis Kelce stoked the controversy further by agreeing to his older brother, stating, “I’m not washing my feet everytime“. 

But then something unexpected happened. Defense Soap, a foot-care brand, took a surprising action. They made the Kelce brothers a unique offer despite the increasing criticism. In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports, former wrestling HOFer and Defense Soap CEO, Guy Sako, acknowledged providing care packages to both Jason and Travis.

Guy Sako began his entrepreneurial adventure after leading the Westshore Wrestling Club since 1996 and coaching numerous future NCAA wrestlers, including ten NCAA Division I All-Americans. Sako is based in Cleveland (close to Jason and Travis’ residence), and manufactures medicated soaps including antifungals.

He stated in the TMZ interview that he is unable to endorse not washing one’s feet because doing so prevents fungus and diseases. Sako said, “Being a Cleveland-based company specializing in contact sports hygiene, we understand the importance of cleanliness.”

The former wrestler went on to suggest that there are alternatives, including wipes that offer a quick and simple clean, if scrubbing the feet seems like too much work. Sako continued, “We’d love to send our hometown heroes a care package to keep their feet fresh, whether it’s in the trenches or running routes!”

It remains to be seen if Jason Kelce adopts a new foot-washing regimen or not. There’s no denying that his remarks have sparked a heated discussion on personal cleanliness. But this circumstance also demonstrates an unexpected unity among the Kelce brothers. 

Kelce brothers’ debate makes for an interesting exchange 

The Kelce brothers’ remarks about hygiene generated a lot of controversy on social media, but the duo didn’t bother much about that. The Kelce brothers rather shared diverse viewpoints in their discussion of a fictitious bout between Bruce Lee and Muhammad Ali.

When Travis realized that Jason had on a Muhammad Ali t-shirt, the brothers had a debate. This led the Kansas City star to inquire about his older brother’s fantasy battle between Bruce Lee and Muhammad Ali. Surprised even more by his own statement that the former heavyweight champion would “beat the fu*k out” of Lee, Jason picked Ali without hesitation.

The Kelce brothers’ playful exchange demonstrated that, in spite of their remarks about hygiene, they are always up for more debates and discussions. This serves as a reminder that sometimes the most unexpected events capture the genuine essence of friendship.
