What started as a powder keg of emotions ended with Simmons and Reising letting bygones be bygones. With a tweet reading “All good on both sides“, every bit of anger seems to be cooling off between Titans‘ DE Jeffery Simmons and host Buck Reising.

On Wednesday, media members captured a candid in which Simmons and Reising were seen talking to each other. After a while, Reising retweeted the image with quotes saying, “Had a great chat with Jeff. All good on both sides. Enough with the side shows. Play ball.”

Simmons then publicly expressed his regret over the confrontation, took accountability, and emphasized that such an altercation wouldn’t happen again.

A lot of y’all have been here since I’ve been here, and y’all know me,” Simmons said. “That’s not who I am; that’s not who I want to be seen as. I talked to Buck, we have an understanding. He has an understanding of where I’m coming from; I have an understanding of where he’s coming from. He has a job. I have a job.”

What exactly happened between Jeffery Simmons and Buck Reising?

All began during the Titans’ first padded practice of the NFL training camp, where a heated exchange between Big Jeff and Buck grabbed headlines. Simmons criticized Reising for commenting on his performance through social media instead of addressing him directly. Reising tried to keep calm and offered to sit and talk, but Simmons continued calling him derogatory names and expressing his grievances vocally.

Buck Reising’s tweet noted the moment when Jeffery Simmons clashed with offensive tackle JC Latham, and the referee mentioned Simmons would have been ejected in a game. Reising criticized Simmons for starting another brawl right after returning to practice and suggested to focus and control his behavior.

Big Jeff then voiced his frustration on X quoting, “I just be seeing a lot of tweets and hit that bookmark! How do some of you guys cover us (Titans) but hate us so much“.

Reising then responded by posting a poll on X, questioning followers if they agree with Simmons that Titans local media like to hate the Titans or not.

Despite the heated confrontation, both Simmons and Reising have now mutually chosen to turn over a new leaf. Reising’s retweet and Simmons’ public apology indicate a renewed focus on football rather than personal conflicts. It’s encouraging to see them both ready to shift their focus back to their work.
