The Steelers‘ QB Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara Wilson is not only a great singer she is also a great matchmaker. She had initially set up the relationship between American Singer Normani and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf. The couple made their relationship public last summer through Instagram posts. The story behind their relationship is really interesting and full of pranks.

Talking to Ciara, who was the guest host on the show, Normani stated, “I’ve always felt like representation was so key. Being a little girl in my grandmother’s living room, learning the ‘1, 2 Step’ and ‘Goodies.’ Literally, the earliest memories that I have, you were a part of that.“

They became so good friends since then that Normani, in collaboration with Elle magazine, decided to prank Ciara.

The prank involved Normani pretending she had been offered a spot on the reality TV show, “The Bachelorette,” and seeking advice from Ciara. “I got an offer to be the next Bachelorette,” Normani told Ciara over the phone. Ciara surprisingly, “What the heck?” She became concerned and asked, “Why are you considering this?” Normani played along, saying, “I mean, it just feels like the right moment, you know.”

Ciara, ever the protective friend, offered her advice, “I wouldn’t do it. Certain things could happen, like a kissing moment.” Even as Normani assured Ciara that she would set boundaries, Ciara remained cautious. “Once you do that, that’s like the kiss of death. That’s- if it matters to you,” she said, alluding to Normani’s relationship with NFL player DK Metcalf. The prank ended with Normani revealing the truth. Normani’s relationship with DK Metcalf was also mentioned during the prank. Normani revealed that it was Ciara who played matchmaker for her and Metcalf. “She’s the one that did set me and my man up,” Normani said.
