You can often see Micah Parsons’ brother, Terrence, serving as one of the biggest cheerleaders for the Dallas Cowboys DE. But today, something complicated has come out of their relationship—away from the public eye. Terrence has time and time again proven how vocal he can be about his brother. From protecting him against unnecessary criticism to expressing his opinions on Micah’s contract negotiations, Terrence has been everywhere. So, the very thought of a potential rift between the two is something the NFL probably didn’t see coming.

Hopping on the Bitches Love Sports Podcast, Terrence got a bit candid talking about his relationship with Micah. My brother was mad at me for the longest because he used to look up to me for real,” Terrence expressed. But what’s the reason behind Micah’s sudden hate towards his brother? Well, Terrence also didn’t have a clue until their parents broke the news to him.

I didn’t really know the validity until like my parents told me my family told me um when I was in jail last time…I missed my brother’s story the whole rookie season..second season two for real like, that kind of like hurt me a lot,” Terrence shared. Here’s the thing: Details of Terrence’s arrest and incarceration haven’t been made public. But considering he was talking about missing Micah’s rookie and sophomore seasons, it could be between 2021 and 2022. At that time, Parsons was just in his early years as the Cowboys’ edge rusher.

Parsons was picked as the 12th overall, coming off two incredible years in Penn State that saw him record 6.5 sacks to his name. Handed a $17M rookie contract, Parsons impeccably adapted to change in positions. At Penn State, he used to play as a middle linebacker. But after DeMarcus Lawrence broke his foot, Parsons changed to his high school position as a defensive end. This brought him instant success as he turned into a constant menace to opposition O-lines and QBs.

In his rookie year itself, Parsons racked up 84 total tackles and 13 sacks, earning a rookie Pro Bowl. Out of those 13 sacks, Parsons got 12 of them in his first 13 games. An NFL record only bettered by Julius Peppers and Reggie White. He was even voted a unanimous winner of the NFL defensive rookie of the year, considering the huge impact he made stepping into NFL stardom. Well, in his sophomore year, Parsons continued his explosive form. Picking up his second consecutive Pro Bowl and yet another First Team All-Pro.

So, obviously, Parsons was upset as his brother wasn’t there to witness the peak of his defensive prowess. But hey, at least Terrence is there right now to defend his brother from clueless criticism.

Micah Parsons’ brother stands up to his defense

See, Micah Parsons isn’t the only one in his family who excels in defending. Even his brother knows a thing or two about defense—not on the gridiron, of course. Terrence is Micah’s ultimate protector on social media. Last month, there was this Philadelphia Eagles fan who, out of nowhere, questioned Parsons’ leadership. This fan stated Parsons only performs whenever the cameras are on him. So, once Terrence came across this tweet on his timeline.

He simply put that fan in his place by shredding him apart through words, “If you thought this was a performance that’s why your fat a– out here making videos about the athletes..something you never was Imfao you don’t know what it takes or the emotions that comes this losing a game like the one below lol I hate dumb mfers.” Despite all the noise surrounding Parsons’ commitment to the gridiron, he has kept on proving everyone wrong.

Even after missing the first 4 games last season, Parsons was 5th in the league for sacks. And also, first in NFC with 12. So, Micah hasn’t left any room for that unnecessary criticism to slip through. And even if it does sometimes, his brother will always be there to stand beside him.
