Could Taylor Swift's NFL influence make her the most powerful woman in football history?

Travis Kelce’s popstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift has become a prominent figure in the NFL world too! Since the popular US singer began dating the Chiefs TE, she has continued to leave a notable impact on Chiefs games. Allegedly, the “Blank Space” singer even hugely attracted the US audience to spend their money on football.

The Grammy Award-winning singer recently made waves for being the world’s richest female musician. As per Forbes, the “Cruel Summer” star has a cool worth of $1.6 billion. Isn’t that impressive? Well, the billionaire singer has garnered attention for her massive impact on football games from NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell too.

As per the senior NFL reporter, Albert Breer’s tweet, Roger, 65 even clarified his opinions on the singer’s potential ownership with the Chiefs. Taking to his official X handle, Albert highlighted the American businessman, Goodell’s thoughts on Swift’s becoming the part-owner of the Chiefs.

“NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, with @TomBrady approved as a Raiders limited partner, was asked if anyone has approached  @taylorswift13 about buying a piece of the Chiefs. He laughed and said, “If she’s interested, I think she has the ability to do it,” The post read.

Interestingly, Roger’s opinion about Swift’s potential partnership just went viral after Tom Brady became an official part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.Allegedly, on Tuesday during the NFL owner’s 2024 Fall League Meeting in Atlanta, the NFL approved the Ex-Patriots legendry QB’s potential ownership. Apparently, former NFL QB, who was inducted into the Patriots HOF in June, bought nearly five percent of the Raiders stakes.

Amidst Brady’s prospective ownership of the Raiders, Goodell’s comment about Swift “having the ability to do it” might be attributed to her enthusiasm and the substantial number of followers she has attracted to the NFL. Allegedly, Chiefs was valued at $6.07 billion as of September 2024. Thus, it comes as no surprise that billionaire Swift may become the part owner of the team.

Not only this, Swift’s appearance in a customized jersey during Chiefs games seemingly also captivated the US buyers. A credit card spending research report that was released last year evidenced this. As per the study, the majority of cash is spent on jerseys, sports streaming service subscriptions, and memorabilia to watch NFL games.

Besides this, a LendingTree report which was done on Gen Zers also caught attention earlier. It claimed that mostly Generation Z believed that  Swift affected their football-related card expenditures. As per the survey,  39% of the generation’s 11- to 26-year-olds accepted that the ‘Blank Space’ singer drove them into getting a football purchase.

Additionally, sports marketing experts also demonstrated the estimated earnings because of Swift’s connection with the NFL star. Allegedly, NFL marketing professionals claimed that the Swift-Kelce period might produce up to $10 million in off-field revenue for Kelce, 35.

Such statistics are sufficient to demonstrate Swift’s greatest influence on NFL games. Hence, the Chiefs management might also want to consider adding Swift as a part-owner, because of her large fame on their games since she joined. But, the singer, of course, has yet to share her views on the same.
