Tom Brady has seen the in and out of the NFL realm in his more than two decades career. Thus, it is not surprising to witness the legend give his two cents regarding the intricacies of the game and how chances are paved out in this sport. Taking to Colin Cowherd’s podcast, Brady shifted his focus to the team in the limelight-the Kansas City Chiefs. The 7x Super Bowl Champ without any hesitation reflected on the recent win of the Chiefs and their extremely low chance of grabbing a third Super Bowl triumph.

Tom Brady said, “To win one Super Bowl is extremely difficult. To win 2 back-to-back what the Chiefs have done, I mean as we know in the history of the sport, nearly impossible. To win three in a row, there’s a reason why no one has done it.” Thus, cementing through his experience how gaining that 3-peat is not going to be an easy nut to crack.

After all, till now no NFL franchise has been able to achieve it. On the other hand, gaining consecutive wins is also not an easy deal. In the league, there have been only 8 teams out of 32 to have achieved this feat including Brady-led New England Patriots(2003-2004). According to the 5x Super Bowl MVP’s statement, there’s not even a 50% chance the Chiefs will clinch a Lombardi this season.

A tough season, loss of players to free agency, and staying motivated in general are some roadblocks that might hinder Patrick Mahomes’ chances of winning. This was pointed out by the NFL analyst Broussard as well. He reflected on the team’s overall position and how achieving another Super Bowl victory is going to be an uphill task for the Chiefs.

However, despite being realistic about Mahomes-led Chiefs’ upcoming season, Brady did not shy away from crediting the men in red for last season’s showdown. “They played really well at the end. The margin of error was razor-thin and that’s the way it’s going to be this year for them,” said Brady. Apart from the intrinsic factors, the tumultuous schedule ahead of the Chiefs with at least 9 road games will also prove to be a challenge.

However, despite his apprehension of the Chiefs, Brady believes that if anyone can do it, it’s Mahomes, Kelce, Rice, Andy Reid, and Steve Spagnuolo’s defense. Perhaps this is the reason why TB12 has the utmost respect for Patrick Mahomes, which became apparent a few months ago when the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in playoffs.

Tom Brady thinks Patrick Mahomes is always at his best

Tom Brady took to his Let’s Go! Podcast and spoke about Mahomes after he won against Josh Allen with a final score of 27-24. “He doesn’t care that it’s in Buffalo. He wants to go out and play whoever’s the best to see how he matches up. And he always seems to play his best in the big moments,” said Brady praising the 28-year-old QB/

The Chiefs QB not only threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns in that game but also came out with a completion rate of 73.9%. Till the 3 quarter of that game, the Bills were 24-20. Not so surprisingly, Mahomes created a situation to get the Chiefs to first and goal with 14 minutes remaining on the clock. Isaiah Pacheco ran for a 4-yard touchdown and Harrison Butker finished with the extra point.

In the Divisional round game, there were 13 seconds left on the clock with the Bills leading the game. Mahomes’ pass to Kelce put them in a field goal range which equalized the score and the game went to OT. The Kansas City Chiefs scored another touchdown in the OT and won 42-36 against Allen and Co.

Mahomes is a difference-maker who pulls up and makes something out of nothing. Even the Super Bowl game went to overtime. Mahomes did the exact thing where he created a situation with Butker getting extra points with 3 seconds left on the clock, tying the game 19-19. The Chiefs scored another touchdown in OT and the rest is history. While the 3-peat might be a tough feat to achieve, Patrick Mahomes and his team will ensure to give their best. However, only time will tell if the impossible will be made possible.
