How much of Patrick Mahomes' success can be attributed to his father's unwavering support?

It’s time for some celebrations again at the Mahomes household. Big one, too. Patrick Mahomes has turned 29 and no one’s missing that, surely. No matter how weak your memory is, you know it’s Showtime’s birthday. At least, none of his family forgot. Not even his dad, Pat Sr. Even after his son’s rather passive behavior on Father’s Day. But Papa Mahomes is not the one to hold grudges, especially not against his son.

Just like any big Mahomes milestone, Patrick Mahomes Sr.’s Instagram was buzzing with birthday cheer for his son. He shared a throwback reel celebrating Patrick’s 29th birthday with a sweet caption: “Happy 29th Patrick. 29 great years. I love you.” Even Mama Randi Mahomes pitched in with her blessings. Though, doing it in a classic mother fashion.

She re-shared her younger son Jackson’s IG post, where he wished Patrick, on her Insta story. Randi captioned it: “My Boys! Happy Birthday.” Clearly, she was proud to see the bond between her sons. And why shouldn’t she be? The Matriarch of the Mahomes family has done a good job raising them.

However, back to Pat Sr., he’s never too shy to express his ‘love’ for Pat either. Something he has done time and time again. Remember his Father’s Day post? He didn’t miss a beat posting a carousel of family pics with “Happy Father’s Day.” The fourth snap, a fun “Like Father, like son” collage with both sticking out their tongues, was pure gold.

But here’s the twist—while Pat Sr. is out there hyping up his Chiefs’ son, Patrick Mahomes seems to be playing it cool. On Father’s Day, Patrick didn’t immediately acknowledge his dad’s post. It wasn’t until a few days later that he shared a nostalgic pic of Pat Sr. holding him during his MLB days. You might say these are speculations. And indeed they are. But what to do when such events are coming in thick and fast?

Fast forward to September 15, and the plot thickens. Patrick Mahomes Sr. was once again missing from the pre-birthday bash thrown by Brittany and Randi Mahomes for Patrick’s 29th. Is this just a case of personal matters, or is there a deeper rift we’re not seeing?

Have an interesting take?

Patrick Mahomes’ pre-birthday bash: No Pat Sr., no problem?

Patrick Mahomes turned 29 on the 17th but the celebrations kick-started a couple of days early! Brittany, ever the planner, threw an early birthday bash for her QB hubby. And she was not alone. Momma Randi Mahomes couldn’t hold back her excitement, sharing a snap of the festivities on Instagram, complete with the caption, “Celebrating 29 years of being a mom!! lol Happy bday son i love you #sept17 #blessed.” It was all smiles, balloons, and family love—well, except for one noticeable absence. Where was Patrick Mahomes Sr.?

Now, you’re probably wondering, “Why wasn’t Dad there?” Good question. Mahomes Sr. didn’t even chime in on the pre-birthday bash, which some fans found odd. Sure, he posted a sweet birthday message to Brittany not too long ago, so why not for his son’s celebration? Could it be out of respect for the space between him and Randi after their divorce? Or maybe it was just a case of personal reasons. Whatever the reason, it sure got people talking!

But hey, let’s not get too carried away with rumors. The Mahomes family still had a blast! The mansion was decked out with a stunning black, red, and silver balloon display, childhood pics of Patrick Mahomes, and a cool “welcome” sign wrapped in red LED lights.

On top of that, Patrick looked as laid back as ever in a white tee and brown bottoms, and the whole crew, minus Mahomes Sr., was there to celebrate. It was all love and good vibes, despite the missing MLB dad. Waiting for the birthday party snaps? Guess we might see Dad there. Pat Sr. has already wished his son. Maybe a snap or two in a party dress might kill the switch for this rumor mill.
