Former HC Bill Belichick’s speech grabbed the audience by the hook at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Wednesday. The renowned football coach was present to honor his longtime quarterback, Tom Brady, as he was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on a thrilling evening.

After receiving a huge 120-second ovation from a massive sell-out crowd during Brady’s Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, he took a friendly jab at the QB, reminding him of his recent ‘Roast’. The HC began his speech by showing his love to the star-studded crowd, remarking, “I love you, New England. I love you, Patriots fans. Have a top rating. Thank you. Thank you, Patriot Nation. Thank you.”

Though, in his usual style of humor, the former coach added, “Tom, this is a lot better reception than we got out in L.A,” reminding the QB of the kind of reception the two of them had to face during the recent Tom Brady Roast show. The coach also seemed to be hinting toward the jokes made during the event, which even Brady had acknowledged did not pave out well for him personally.

Earlier during attending the Pivot podcast in May with the hosts Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder, the new Hall of Fame Brady raised the curtain and confessed how the live roast affected his children.

“I loved when the jokes were about me, I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way it affected my kids. It’s the hardest part about — the bittersweet aspect of — when you do something that you think is one way, and then all of a sudden you realize, I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected, actually, the people that I care about the most in the world,” Brady affirmed.

However, despite the reminder of the roast and how matters transpired there, both the veterans of the Patriots looked in great mood on the illuminated Wednesday night. It exuded even more grace with the kind of tribute Bill Belichick received on his entry to the stage.
