Tyreek Hill’s new contract is the talk of the town. The standout wide receiver leaped a huge step toward securing his future with the Miami Dolphins, as he signed a restructured contract worth $90 million over the next three years. The fastest man in the NFL, the Cheetah, is about to blaze into year three with the Fins after that absolute blockbuster trade back in ’22. Hill is now sitting pretty as the fourth-highest-paid wideout in the league. This is the kind of deal that makes other receivers furiously dial their agents.

I’m here to stay,” Hill posted on social media, following his absence from practice on Saturday, soon after Miami announced the restructuring plan. This new agreement assures Hill $65 million in guaranteed money, raising his total amount to $106.5 million over the next four years. That’s not just ‘making it rain’ money, that’s ‘causing a tropical storm’ cash.

I would like to retire in Miami, but we all know how the NFL is, how jobs go and people get promotions over here, Miami is a great city man, I love the team that I play on, I love the guys in the locker room, I love the head coach, I love the GM,” Hill stated on Around The Bar Podcast, while discussing his retirement plan from the NFL, envisioning to finish up with the Dolphins.

Tyreek Hill was crowned the NFL’s top player by his peers, just a day before getting his restructured contract. That’s right, the Cheetah is now officially the best player in the league, according to the NFL Top 100 list. Hill, 30, has been pretty vocal about wanting a new deal. He has been looking for something that will carry him through the rest of his NFL career, ideally keeping him in Miami.

After Tua Tagovailoa inked his new contract, Hill made it clear that he hoped his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, could work things out with the GM Chris Grier. He even jokingly told Rosenhaus to make sure that the negotiations didn’t end up trading him again, as previously happened when he moved from Kansas City to Miami.

But wait, there’s more. This isn’t just about Hill. The Dolphins’ front office has been on fire this offseason.

The Dolphins have locked in Jaylen Waddle with a three-year, $84.75 million extension. And then there’s Tua Tagovailoa, he just inked a massive four-year, $212.4 million extension, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league. This duo, alongside Hill, is set to make some serious noise.

The Jaylen Waddle deal includes a substantial $76 million in guaranteed money, ensuring the 25-year-old remains a key part of Miami’s offense till the 2028 season. Meanwhile, the Tua Tagovailoa deal includes $167 million in guaranteed money and positions Tagovailoa third among NFL quarterbacks in terms of average annual salary, trailing only Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow.

These extensions are a clear signal of the Dolphins’ long-term strategy, as these deals not only reward past performances but also represent a strategic investment in the team’s future success.
