In 2023, when the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl, the NFL world saw a father-and-son duo hugging each other with pride and emotions. But this time, it was different due to Patrick Mahomes Sr.’s DWI case arrest. However, Judge James Meredith of Smith County, Texas, didn’t impose any travel ban on Patrick Mahomes’ father. Hence, he reportedly attended the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Nevada, but was out of the spotlight.
Although the quarterback couldn’t get the chance to hug his father this time around, he made sure to confess something: “This one was for him.” QB Mahomes dedicated his LVIII win to his dad when his notable absence was felt after his winning at Allegiant Stadium. However, now it seems, Mahomes Sr. is making up for the Super Bowl embarrassment as he achieved a milestone of sobriety this month. And now, he is celebrating his daughter, Zoe Mahomes’ big day.

Patrick Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr. recently shared an Instagram story on August 14, 2024. In the story, he shared a snap of his (and wife Trisha Mahomes’) daughter Zoe, Mahomes, who celebrates her big day. And that big day was her “First Day of School! 2024-2025” as written on a slate beside Zoe. Although it’s not clear which school the budding soccer player joined, Zoe can be seen happy in the picture with a pom pom in her hand and wearing her school uniform. However, that’s not all! Apart from Zoe, Mahomes Sr. also shared a post about his son Patty, about two weeks ago.
In that video posted on his official IG account, QB Mahomes’ pictures – two in Texas jersey while another with the Lombardi Trophy – are printed on the walls of the Whitehouse High School. It was an honor from the school to their alum Patrick Mahomes, and the Dad was just proud of it and his son. He wrote a caption, saying, “Great job Whitehouse. Y’all did it right.” Adding to the happiness and proud moment, fans too poured in the comment section, praising and congratulating the two men of the Mahomes family.

In that post, Patrick’s habit of sticking out his tongue while throwing the ball was likened to Bronze’s sticking out his tongue many times. Hence, to celebrate Patrick’s father’s duty, Mahomes Sr. wished him: “Happy Fathers Day.” However, Patrick remained silent on this post. He chose to stay silent on his social media platforms as well.
This left many speculating that some contention probably exists between the duo. When asked about his dad’s DWI case, he simply stated, “It’s a family matter. I’ll just keep it to the family.”
