A little distraction with Pat and A-Rod… That’s not a title of anything. But the reality. Especially when life’s a mess is different. Picture this: wildfires raging. Chaos in every corner. And you’re just trying to hold it together. Now imagine this: a Pat McAfee and Aaron Rodgers collab bringing the laughs. Sounds like a much-needed timeout, right? That’s exactly how Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh, felt.
Stuck in the turmoil of the LA wildfires, she found her escape in the hilarious banter of the Pat McAfee Show.
Keleigh hopped on X to share her gratitude after watching a clip of McAfee recounting a wild UFC story involving her husband. “Needed that laugh @PatMcAfeeShow love you all ❤️🥹🙏,” she wrote. But, oh, the story? Grab your popcorns for this one.

Rewind to 2021. Pat McAfee had a crack on Miles Teller for getting punched in Hawaii during a WWE SmackDown event. “WOW, Miles Teller didn’t even eat a shot that hard,” McAfee joked. ‘Oops’. Teller, who had actually been jumped by two guys in a bathroom, wasn’t laughing. An X spat followed, and McAfee apologized, admitting he didn’t know the full story.

But that’s just a long story short… The longer version is actually juicier. Literally brawl-juice. That too, at a UFC event, when the two ran into each other. When A-Rod joked about the times, saying everyone thought you guys will have a go (physically) at each other. Pat was like: “OH, I WAS!”
Always ready for theatrics, McAfee was gearing up for a showdown. “I told Triple H there might be some sh-t on the way out, and he said, ‘I’ll break it up’.” Pat, neck brace and all, was ready to rumble. Then Miles approached and said, “Hey, can we talk for a sec”? “But what followed was a heated exchange where Keleigh jumped in, defending her husband. Pat, not realizing who she was, snapped back: “I will not be talking to you.” Awkward, right? However, now, Pat’s got nothing but “mad respect.”
And A-Rod? He couldn’t resist chiming in: “He’s a big dude, though.” Even Pat had to laugh at himself, realizing he’d misjudged Miles completely. “Man, I was completely wrong about this guy.” Amidst all this, for Keleigh, the throwback was a light moment. Rather, a temporary refuge in the giggles of social media in retrospect to the contrast reality that she was facing. A home lost to the fires.
Pat McAfee sends his prayers to Miles Teller and Keleigh
Imagine standing in front of what used to be your home, now reduced to ash. That’s exactly where Keleigh Sperry and Miles Teller found themselves after the Los Angeles wildfires tore through Pacific Palisades. The huge flames left no time to think, let alone pack. But one regret still lingers for Keleigh: her wedding dress.
In a heart-wrenching Instagram post, she shared, “There are no words. If you’re in the LA area PLEASE get out if you can. I wish I grabbed my wedding dress…wish I did a lot different but it doesn’t matter, stay safe, get out.” Alongside her words was a haunting photo of their home—first in its serene glory, then as a charred lot.

Keleigh’s words were raw and heavy, but the support she felt was overwhelming. “To everyone reaching out, I can’t thank you enough. Your kind hearts have meant the world,” she added. And the community? They showed up big time. “Pacific Palisades, I love you beyond measure. We will come back stronger than ever.”
Even Pat McAfee took a moment during The Pat McAfee Show to send his support. “Miles, Keleigh, and Bugsy, we are happy you’re OK. Sucks that it happens, in a bad, bad way. But knowing Miles, even in this negative, devastating thing, he’s going to bring the juice. That guy’s awesome.” That’s Pat, by the way.
This was supposed to be the segment where he brought on Aaron Rodgers to ask him about his future with the Jets and retirement, and whatnot. But naah! He knows his priorities. At that moment, Pat McAfee’s priority was to send prayer to a friend and his family, who were caught up in a turmoil .

For Keleigh, losing her dream Monique Lhuillier gown was a personal blow, but she’s keeping her focus on what matters: safety, resilience, and the support of an incredible community. As she put it, “Thank you to the first responders fighting.” And knowing Miles and Keleigh, they’ll come back stronger—because when the game of life knocks you down, you get back up. That’s just how it’s done.
