Home/WWE

The retired Eagles center has been using the newly freed-up time to the fullest. In his most recent antic, fans were shocked and delighted to see him cameo in WrestleMania. When fans in Philadelphia assembled in their home stadium to watch Rey Mysterio’s face-off against his son, “Dirty” Dominik, nobody had expected Jason Kelce to join the action.

In a recent conversation with brother Travis on their podcast New Heights, the former NFL star talked about his wrestling debut. He discussed his stint with Rey Mysterio, meeting Dwayne Jackson, and how obsessed he was with his biceps before the show! The brothers revealed how they have been fans of the WWE since childhood and used to play the game on their Nintendos as kids.

Now, watching his older brother actually participating in the real-life wrestling ring, the Chiefs tight end couldn’t be happier! “I can say that it was fun as hell watching you up there,” said Travis on the podcast. “Knowing that we used to fuck around as WWF, WWE fuckin’ jabronis as kids, man. It was cool to see you up there having some fun. Oh, dude!”

After helping Mysterio crush their opponents, professional wrestler The Miz himself welcomed the possibility of the former Eagles star entering the WWE and even took on the offer to train him into a “superstar”!

The Miz thinks Jason Kelce would be “very dangerous” in WWE

Michael Gregory Mizanin, better known by his ring name, The Miz, talked about Kelce’s WrestleMania cameo during a recent outing. The two-time WWE Championship winner was asked if he would train the Philadelphia resident if he decided to enter the sport. The Raw star further said that he would “train him [Kelce] into a superstar” and feels that the former NFL center “could be very dangerous in a WWE ring.” He quoted Kelce’s “charisma” and “athleticism” as the two major reasons why he would excel in whichever field he chooses to go for after his retirement, be it wrestling, the podcast, or returning to the field as an NFL coach.

We wholeheartedly agree with the Miz’s optimism about Jason Kelce! It’s barely been months since he announced his retirement, and we are already getting to see Philadelphia’s favorite venture into unexplored arenas.
