Jaguars sit 0-2 after losing the first 2 games of 2024. Veterans are blaming the QB for those defeats. After 13-18 loss against Browns in week 2, the QB posted a photo on Instagram. The caption read, “Adversity is a great teacher. Don’t grow weary.” Is there a hidden message? Well, his career is slightly taking upward trajectory. In his rookie year, he had 3-14 win-loss record. In a 180 rotation move, he led the team to win 9 games and qualify for the playoffs in 2022. While he couldn’t replicate the same success in 2023 with 8-8 win-loss record, it’s crunch time he shifts his gears.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson is expecting a revival. And he believes that the leader of the turnaround will be Trevor Lawrence. When the quarterback said that they didn’t play to their full potential against Browns and was visibly shocked, the coach claimed it will be the mark of a true leader.

Pederson said, “That’s what you want from your leader. I don’t want anybody to sugarcoat anything. It may not be in his nature to do it, but you know what? He’s got to do it.” While he must be working on his approach and other factors, is the money factor putting undue pressure? $55 million per year puts him among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.
