Russell Wilson’s offseason felt like watching your favorite character bounce between spin-offs. One week, he’s rumored back with the Steelers; next, he’s dropping cryptic workout vids like he’s teasing an album. Everyone’s guessing, headlines were flying, and Russ? Well, he finally put pen to paper and signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants. But the offseason drama behind that deal? Impeccable.

Put it this way: before signing a deal with the Big Blue, Wilson visited New York and Cleveland. And that’s where things got pretty interesting. I mean, Myles Garrett kinda made it official on the Dawgs Podcast that Wilson’s going to sign a deal with the Browns. And why not? Cleveland is still stuck in QB limbo. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out. And now?

Well, Wilson didn’t end up signing with the Browns, but that didn’t stop Cleveland’s star DE from sneaking the Giants’ QB into his storyline—because apparently, no matter what Russ does, Myles just has to keep him in the frameliterally and figuratively. On Monday, Garett took to his official IG handle and shared a picture of himself while bathing his dog. The kicker? Yeah, Russell Wilson made a virtual appearance on his story.

Remember that time when Russ posted a clip on his social media handles where he joked about his puppy having diarrhea? Yeah, the veteran quarterback was humorously saying, “Unlimited Diarrhea, unlimited.” There you go. Myles Garrett used the same video in his IG story, and let’s just say the 29-year-old DE chose the perfect video as he bathed his puppy.

Let’s get to the core of it where it all started. Back in 2018, Wilson shared a clip sharing puppy problems with his fans on his social media handles. “The time when you come home, at the church, and you realize that your new great Dane, we got three of them, right? So the little one, the little puppy, has pooped everywhere, all over his crate,” Wilson said in the viral video. “I assure you all, if I don’t want to scare you, diarrhea poop. Gotta take a little man to the vet. Unlimited diarrhea. Unlimited.”

Right after all that went down, Wilson’s video went viral, and has been widely shared and referenced since then. Fast forward to now, and looks like Myles Garrett has been the latest entry in referencing Wilson’s video. Hilarious. We really don’t know if Russ has seen Garett’s story or not, but we’d sure like to see his reaction.

Speaking of Russ and Cleveland—sure the veteran QB didn’t sign with the Browns. But at one point, Garrett made us all believe about the Wilson-Browns signing.

Myles Garrett had an idea of the Browns’ QB issues

Cleveland Browns and their QB carousel are nothing new this offseason. They’ve struggled to find a right QB1 even after signing Deshaun Watson on a massive contract extension. Watson signed his five-year $230 million contract back in 2022. Games played since then? Just 19 in the last three seasons. Just. 19. Games. And if you’re thinking that their QB conundrum is really coming to an end—not so soon. But they had a chance to sign a veteran QB.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Myles Garrett's playful antics with Russ hint at a missed opportunity for the Browns?

Have an interesting take?

To make it more interesting, Garrett almost confirmed that Cleveland is going to sign Russell Wilson. Yeah, that really happened. Last month, Garrett stopped by on the Dawgs Podcast where he talked about the Browns’ QB situation. When asked who’s going to be their QB1, he straight-up said, “Well, after conversations, I do have an idea.” And then he was asked, “Okay, do you like the idea?” And that’s where it got interesting.

“I like it enough to, you know, be here smiling in front of you because I think we have a good chance of that happening and making the most out of it,” he said. The DE seemed pretty excited at that point and when they tried to get him spill out that QB’s name, Garrett shut that down, saying, “You know I can’t do that.” Well, he didn’t expose the name, but let’s be real—his face and that smile were literally screaming Wilson’s name.

Cut to the reality, and now it’s safe to say that Garrett failed to convince Wilson to join the Browns. Wilson was already out of Pittsburgh and was looking for a new home. Rumor mill was buzzing that Russ was going to sign with the Browns, considering the QB visited Cleveland. The kicker? Well, a day after visiting Cleveland, Russ headed to New York, and the rest is history.

At the end of the day, Russell Wilson won’t be in Cleveland for the 2025 season, but one thing’s for sure: this funny banter between the QB and Garrett is not going to stop anytime soon.
