For the Cowboys, this season has been disastrous so far. They have lost games which ideally they shouldn’t have. After 6 games, they are sitting at a 3-3 win-loss record. Now their WR CeeDee Lamb is being criticized for failing the team. He hasn’t been great and had a spat with Dak Prescott after losing to the Ravens.
Troy Aikman recently talked about America’s Team, and he was clear in his approach. The former QB said that Lamb could have done better for the team while defending the quarterback by saying that he sees his WRs in excellent form, but they could be much better.
Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman on @dfwticket on Dallas’ wide receivers: “I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And I’ve thought that beyond this year. I think CeeDee (Lamb) has got to improve in his route running. As a quarterback, if you’re not…

Aikman’s exact words were, “I’m not speaking for Dak (Prescott). Dak may say, ‘Hey, I think (their routes) are amazing.’ But as a former quarterback watching it, it’s gotta get a lot better.” He’s right there. The QB and the WR had a sideline spat during the week 3 game against the Ravens after a crucial red-zone fumble.
However, that’s not the only spat he had. During the week 5 matchup against Steelers, the situation was similar between Lamb and Prescott. They have been given hefty contracts by the Cowboys. Only better results will give a ray of hope to the fans.
The games have been tough. After that 9-47 loss against the Lions, their world crashed. Can they revive themselves? We’ll see 10 days later. But where does WR CeeDee Lamb fall into the whole dynamic?

The problems between the franchise and receiver started during the offseason. When Jerry Jones declined to sign a contract extension, Lamb didn’t attend any training camp and preseason games. However, quarterback Dak Prescott trusted the WR’s abilities then, and he trusts them now. But, Lamb hasn’t been able to perform up to the expectations.
In 6 games, he only has 32 catches of 55 targets with 467 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. In the rushing department, CeeDee Lamb only has 8 carries in 37 yards without any touchdowns. Also, the regular spats have affected the team dynamics. Thankfully, he knows what fans expect from him.

While talking about his performance after the Ravens game, he was disappointed. But he expressed hope and claimed that his bond with the QB was as strong while adding, “I got the utmost respect for him, and I look at him as a brother. So, with that being said, everything is going to come out: the energy, the passion, the love, the fight. You going to make up in the end.”
There’s one thing for sure. If the Cowboys want to come back in the season, both of these players have to lead. Jerry Jones and fans would be praying for that.
