It seems like Micah Parsons has started a debate of his own, picking after Austin Rivers of the NBA. But his debate has a twist. The Cowboys linebacker turned some heads in MLB when he said that he could hit around .200 if given five at-bats per contest over 162 games. Dodgers player Mookie Betts and his teammate Tyler Glasnow couldn’t hold themselves back.

Betts didn’t think Micah Parsons would come close to fulfilling his promise when he said, “Micah, you are a phenomenal athlete, top tier,” and added, “No chance you can hit between .180 and .200. You can do a lot of things, and a lot of things successfully. But hitting a baseball is not one of ’em.” Now, Micah Parsons is back with some more shenanigans.

He would like to try his hands at celebrity boxing. Who better to approach than Logan and Jake Paul? But here’s the catch, he said that he could take up boxing when he retires. The post came from Calvin Watkins, who covers the Dallas Cowboys for Dallas News.

He posted on X, “Micah Parsons at the #DavisMartin main event in Las Vegas. He said he wouldn’t mind doing some celebrity boxing when he retires whenever that happens. Long way to go in the NFL.”

But what everyone is waiting for right now is to see Jake Paul go against the boxing legend Mike Tyson. This fight was a shock to many boxing fans at the start, but people got around to it slowly and it’s supposed to take place on July 20, 2024, if everything goes well.

As for Micah Parsons, this is not the linebackers first stint with boxing, and he’s been putting in some work in the off season. He scored 36 solo tackles, 14 sacks, and one forced fumble last year, so there’s a bit more that goes into his performance.

Back in May, the Cowboys linebacker didn’t attend the voluntary OTAs, possibly because of contract extension issues. However, he did find a way to keep himself in shape. The Dallas Cowboys star took to boxing as a new training outlet. He was spotted in the boxing gym by Dallas Morning News’ Michael Ghelkin.

“I know I’m putting in the work. It more bothers me that people would think that I’m not doing everything I imagine possible to be the best player I can be to help win a championship. It’s more of that. The greatness, the spirit, it’s all in me, and I want it more than anybody,” stated the LB.

While his retirement days are in a very distant future, the problem about his rookie contract expiring draws nearer by the day. After this season ends, Parsons would surely demand an extension from the Cowboys. And talking about deals, the receiver CeeDee Lamb and QB Dak Prescott are also in line.

However, there’s more to Parsons’ saga. In March, Ghelkin revealed that the Cowboys have exercised the fifth-year option on Parsons. Here’s the catch: he will not play as a linebacker, but a defensive end. The reason behind this is to save money. As a linebacker, Parsons would earn $24 million, but as a DE, he would make about $21.32 million. Not sure where he stands on this.
