Buckle up for an epic and interesting event today! The tennis legend, Serena Williams, has been tapped to host the 2024 ESPY. And with her is NFL best friend – Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara Wilson.

Last week, Pittsburgh Steelers QB’s wife signed with WME (William Morris Endeavor) for representation ahead of her “Out of This World Tour” with Missy Elliott. With this, she joined her bestie, Williams, who is also represented by the $8 billion company. Now, the two will be seen together at ESPY’s grand event, and the quarterback Wilson is elated and excited for it.

The Steelers’ new QB, Russell Wilson, shared an Instagram story ahead of the 2024 ESPY event on Thursday, July 11 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will be hosted by tennis star Serena Williams, and to everyone’s surprise, she invited Ciara to be there in her support. To show love and pride for the two strong women, Russell re-shared a post from ESPN, appreciating and wishing the best to the two ladies for the show. Wilson tagged Ciara and Serena in the story and shared three red hearts for them. He even paid tribute to his wife by attaching the “Level Up” song by CiCi to the post.

In the shared post from ESPN, a teaser video depicts Serena, introducing viewers to the show and her hosting role. She said, “I have a surprise for you all. Look who is opening up for the ESPYs.” As soon as she said this, a hidden Ciara popped up from behind her, to say “Hey” to the viewers. Williams then continued, saying, “We have some fun surprises on our sleeves.” CiCi joined her best friend in the introduction and asked the viewers to, “Tune in on Thursday 8 p.m. ET on ABC” to watch the 2024 ESPY event. In the next video clip, the two friends can be seen dancing on a tune, where the Grammy winner is seen teaching some hook steps to the Grand Slam champ.

Serena will bring her charisma to the stage, joining top celebrities from sports and entertainment, as revealed during Disney’s Upfront presentation on Tuesday in New York City.

The ESPYS, presented by Capital One, will recognize “major achievements, unforgettable moments, and leading performances” in the sports world. The show will feature an impressive lineup of stars and athletes, besides Serena Williams, presenting and attending. Presenters such as “Emmy Award-winning actress Quinta Brunson, stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser, actor Rob Lowe, NCAA women’s basketball player Paige Bueckers, NFL Hall of Famer Drew Brees, four-time NBA champion Draymond Green, QB Bryce Young, and many more from diverse fields.”

Besides them, attendees present at the event will be legendary athletes like Allen Iverson, Venus Williams, and Sugar Ray Leonard. But that’s not all folks!
