Is something fishy going on in the Green Bay Packers’ locker room? One of the major drawbacks of the Packers currently is they have many gifted, young offensive stars. Now, you might be wondering how come this could be a problem for the team. Well, it’s not about the team, it’s about the players who couldn’t get reps and targets evenly due to multiple receivers in a team. Hence, that’s the reason why Packers WR, Romeo Doubs is frustrated, causing chaos in Green Bay’s locker room!
After Christian Watson’s ankle injury on Sunday, coach Matt LaFleur was “heavily rotating Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks in their receiver unit.” Hence, according to Sports Illustrated’s Bill Huber, “Doubs is unhappy about the split snaps.” And looking at his recent moves, it seems like that might be true.
According to Green Bay’s fan page, CheeseheadTV, on X, “Packers WR Romeo Doubs skipped practice on Thursday and wasn’t present on Friday because he is upset with his opportunities in the passing game.” Not only this! After ditching the team’s practice, Doubs has taken another decision that has surely raised eyebrows in the NFL world. This time, he “removed all trace of the Packers on his Instagram.”

Yes! Romeo Doubs’ Instagram profile, which contained the team’s pictures, has now been removed by the player. Although he is still following the Packers’ official Instagram account, removing every trace from his profile seems a bit strange for all!
And guess what? The worst might be about to come, as all these incidents by Romeo Doubs could upset the coach, Matt LaFleur. Or it would be better to say that he might already be upset with Romeo Doubs’ behavior!
Matt LaFleur on Romeo Doubs’ absence
The Packers are heading into Sunday’s game against the Rams with more questions than answers. This is because Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are both doubtful. While Watson’s injury wasn’t serious, he is still not seen as a ready candidate at the moment. However, Doubs’ situation seems more complicated.

So, what happened was that Romeo Doubs was unexpectedly added to the injury report on Thursday due to a personal issue. And now the news is out that he seems to be upset about his role in the passing game. Finding it strange, when the media asked Coach Matt LaFleur on the matter, instead of giving it all, he tried to keep things vague, simply calling it a “day-to-day” issue. But no one can deny that there’s a clear sense of unease in the team.
As per Bill Huber’s report, Doubs practiced on Wednesday but didn’t show up on Thursday. Worried about Doubs’ well-being, team representatives found him at his home. However, things took a major turn after Thursday’s pre-practice warmup. Coach LaFleur huddled the team inside the Don Hutson Center and warned them not to let anything become a “distraction.” Wait, what? Now, this suggests there’s more to the story, but the full picture still remains unclear.

Interestingly, Romeo Doubs has played more snaps than any other receiver this season and has also been heavily involved in the offense. Now, with Doubs likely sitting out, other receivers like Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks could get the ball.
