Is Russell Wilson the missing piece the Steelers needed to end their 15-year Super Bowl drought?

The champ is back. Pittsburgh Steelers wanted to see Russell Wilson in action. In the week 7 game against the Jets, their wish was fulfilled. Not only did he lead them, he took them to a win. Steeler Nation is elated. After the 37-15 win on the 20th of October, they have a 5-2 win-loss record. The coaches are also happy.

Offensive Coordinator Arthur Smith praised the veteran quarterback for his positivity. The OC commended the QB for controlling his emotions during the intense matchup. “He’s different. You gotta fight your emotions. Going into it, you gotta have your mindset neutral, being objective, standing on the situation, and not overreacting when something doesn’t go well early, or getting too amped when it does. He got up off the mat and kept going.” That’s some respect there. And the Super Bowl winner has earned it over the years.

This year also, when Russell Wilson arrived at the Black and the Gold, he made his intentions clear by stating that he wanted to win as many trophies for them as he could. The team was also ready. Mike Tomlin named him the starting quarterback. However, he re-aggravated his calf injury and everything came to a standstill.
