Back-to-back champions were honored on Thursday. Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs army marched towards the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art to celebrate their Super Bowl 58 ring ceremony. As the players were excited to join in the celebration, their family too were exhilarated for the event. So, how could Patrick Mahomes’ mother Randi Mahomes avoid it?

Most recently Randi shared a cryptic note on her official Twitter account, wherein she mentioned her being tired. The mom of three wrote, “I do it by myself even when i need help (with sad emoji) im tired though.. never gonna give up #blessed Jesus take the wheel.” She called for help on social media for an undisclosed reason. However, she soon mustered up her courage to not give up in any adversity.

Although the message wasn’t very clear about what she was tired of, Randi later deleted the tweet and then posted about Mahomes’ Super Bowl ring ceremony. In a tweet shared by Randi a few hours ago, ahead of the event, she dropped a red and yellow heart with three rings, indicating her excitement for the ceremony.

This year’s Super Bowl ring is ‘wow!’

Finally, it was the time when the Chiefs revealed their Super Bowl rings for their 2023 championship during the ceremony on Thursday night. The rings, made by Jostens, features “529 diamonds — 505 round diamonds, 19 baguette diamonds and five marquise diamonds — and 38 rubies,” each element symbolizing key achievements. For instance, the word “world” had 39 diamonds to represent the touchdowns scored by the Chiefs that season.

The word “champions” had 70 diamonds to signify the points scored in their three AFC playoff victories. The ring’s underside featured a diagram of the game-winning play (popularly called “Tom & Jerry”) against the San Francisco 49ers, drawn in coach’s Andy Reid’s handwriting.

This Super Bowl win was the fourth in the Chiefs’ history (1969, 2019, 2022 and 2023). Additionally, this win was special for the Red Army as they became the first team to win back-to-back championships since the 2003-2004 Patriots. And now, the champions are aiming to become the first team to have ever won three consecutive Super Bowls. So, will they be able to? The 2024 season is awaiting them, and 31 others!
