Zach Wilson's downfall—Is it time for the Jets to move on and find a new QB?

While the former Oregons‘ QB, Bo Nix, finished third in the 2023 Heisman Trophy vote and got drafted to Denver in 2024, his wife, Izzy Nix, has been his biggest supporter. Izzy doesn’t just share the rookie QB’s moments in the gridiron, but she also gives us a glimpse of his softer side. Curious to know about the softer side of the Broncos‘ QB? Well, his wife has shared some sweet moments that got everyone talking.

On 12th August, Izzy Nix shared the blissful moment of Bo smiling with his little nephew in his arms, “straight off the field, to nephew snuggles“. It looks like the Broncos’ QB never gets tired of catching up with kids. And why so? Well, Bo was found at the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center, enjoying his time with kids and families, “Last week, Izzy and I had a chance to visit with some incredible kids and families at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.” The footballer in black was found to be in a smiling pose with a sweet little one in his arms. Moreover, it seems like Bo takes pleasure in paying a visit to young ones after a tiring day.

Izzy’s prayers were answered as the Broncos became the showstoppers in the Lucas Oil Stadium, “lived in answered prayers today” per Izzy’s story of 12th August. And why did she thank the Almighty? Well, you might have heard by now that the Broncos overruled the Colts by 4 points on their preseason game of 11th August. In addition, Bo’s biggest cheerleader saw his performances as a rookie QB, as even with a marginal victory over the Colts, Bo Nix became the best starting QB for Dan Orlovsky.

Orlovsky didn’t take long to share Adam Schefter’s X post on the performance of the rookie QB, captioned “Nix is scheduled to start Denver’s second preseason game.” Bo’s performance against the Colts seemed to be more than enough to catch the eyes of Orlovsky as he captioned “Obvious QB1” in his shared post on X. Moreover, Bo Nix, seemed to overshadow the performance of the 25-year-old QB, Zach Wilson.

Bo Nix aims to lead the Broncos

The No. 12 overall 2023 NFL draft pick was already in a battle for his position above Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson since he joined the Broncos. But it looks like his first pre-season game cleared his way to become the starting QB of his team. While Wilson hit 10 out of 13 throws for an impressive 117 yards, Nix shone bright with the team-best of 125 yards and a touchdown, “Four scoring drives for two TDs and two field goals.” per Adam Schefter’s X post. The former Oregon star QB connected with Courtland Sutton for a deep 22-yard pass, which gave significant momentum to his team. Although he fumbled a bit, his extraordinary mobility led him to dog for 6 yards on what could have landed as a sack. In addition, he covered 17 additional yards on the ground, which eclipsed the performance of both Zach and Stidham. Well, it seems like their coach, Sean Payton, was already confident of Bo’s mobility as he said, “Those guys have good movement skills. So it’s a trait we look for.“, concerning Bo, Zach, and Stidham.

And ultimately, Nix was the best starting QB in the first pre-season game. With this motivation, will he be able to lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl? Well, we wish to see more of Nix against the Green Bay Packers on the 19th of August.
