Standout games mark the NFL’s rich history, catches, and scores for various reasons. Whether the highest or the lowest, NFL scores fascinate football enthusiasts. This time again, as more than halfway through the season has passed, a somewhat clear picture has emerged regarding the scores of NFL games.
The last matchup was between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings on Monday, where the Monsters of the Midway strategically secured a victory for themselves without even scoring a touchdown. What are the lowest-scoring games in the league?
Throughout NFL history, 73 games have ended with a score of 0-0, but this hasn’t happened since 1943, when the Giants and Detroit Lions achieved it. Also, there have been five NFL games that ended with a score of 2-0. The first three teams to mark this score’s victory were the Frankford Yellow Jackets, the Green Bay Packers, and the Bears in 1928, 1932, and 1938, respectively.

The lowest score in post-merger history is 3-0, which has happened six times during the Super Bowl era. In 1971, the Vikings, for instance, won against the Packers with a last-quarter field goal and a 3-0 victory. Then on November 26, 2007, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Miami Dolphins by the same score.
