Brittany Mahomes shared a sweet flashback with her fans recently, besides accepting her love for the Steelers. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany started dating each other on April 1, 2012, before getting married on March 12, 2022.
It’s obvious that during their dating days, the college sweethearts had a lot of fun together. Be it going to the college prom together or just hanging around with one another, they created a lot of memories. And among those precious memories, one was discussed lately by the fitness freak.
After announcing a partnership with PetSafe alongside celebrity pet trainer Tom Davis, Brittany Mahomes appeared in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE Magazine, where she talked about her two dogs – ‘Steel’ (a pit bull) and ‘Silver’ (a cane corso). The fitness freak said that before her children Sterling and Bronze, she and Pat were the parents of their dogs Steel and Silver, and now with the kids in the picture, she feels like they have a whole pack of four! The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model revealed an inside story of how she got her first dog. Brittany expressed, “I actually got Steel when I was in college. Patrick bought him for me as a Valentine’s Day gift when I was a junior” at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she graduated with a degree in kinesiology in 2017. Ahead in the conversation, Brittany then shared more about her second dog, Silver. She revealed that in 2018, after Patrick’s first year in the league, they decided to adopt another dog into the family. Thus, Silver was adopted, whom the Mahomes couple named to match Steel.

Brittany Mahomes’ Special care for the ‘pawsome!’
Brittany, who’s always had dogs around, relies on trainer Tom Davis to help manage the high energy of her two dogs, Steel and Silver. Introduced to Davis in 2019, Brittany and her husband fly him to KC occasionally to work with the dogs. With their lifestyle of moving between Kansas City and Texas during the offseason, the changing environments can be overwhelming for the dogs, so according to the Mahomes couple, having a trainer helps keep them calm.
