Travis Kelce has been creating waves this year, not just in the NFL but in the entertainment arena as well! After starring in game shows like ‘Catching Kelce’ and ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ it seems like the Kansas City Chiefs star might be up for a film debut as well!

In the latest episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast, ‘New Heights,’ the duo discussed some conspiracy theories floating around on the internet. One fan on Reddit had an interesting rumor: “Travis Kelce will be announced as part of the cast of Happy Gilmore 2,” which was rubbished by the Chiefs star. However, he didn’t shy away from professing that if given the chance, the Adam Sandler fanboy would be willing to be an extra on the film!

No, I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2, but -if there is, I’ll be a f**king extra, you know, anything to just get around Happy Gilmore or Adam Sandler film or set.” Travis further gushed about the actor and even teased his fans about the possibility, “Count me in, obviously. Been a huge fan of the Sandman …theories can come true, theories can be true, and just, people don’t know about it. So I might even be in the talking, and nobody knows about it, but I could also not be in the talking.

The rumor wasn’t over, though; the fan had given three reasons behind the conjecture, which Jason read out loud. “So well, the conspiracy comes from it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of evidence,” said the former NFL star. “There’s three parts of this -conspiracy there. part one: on the podcast, Arnold alluded to the Kelsey Brothers being in LA to set up movie deals. Part two is Travis has been wearing this hat for a couple of weeks.” Here, the fan was referring a white cap that bore the words, ‘Happy Gilmore’ in green. Jason continued with the final part of the conspiracy and dismissed the theory on the whole. “Part three is just Happy Gilmore 2 was just announced. So there’s really no evidence to support this whatsoever essentially.

The Kelce brothers went on to discuss what roles they would want to play in the film if given the chance, with Travis settling to play the shooter’s caddy. He further assigned Jason the role of Happy Gilmore’s caddy owing to his “homeless Neanderthal caveman” persona! While this was all light-hearted banter, there is one TV series project where we can actually see the Chiefs star on our screens.

Travis reposted the post to his IG story with the caption, “Steppin into a new world with one of the legends!” but remained quiet about the venture otherwise. He finally broke his silence on the ‘New Heights’ podcast about starring in the horror series. “Hopefully, I don’t bomb this for him,” he joked. The tight end other than Niecy Nash-Betts joins Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville in Murphy’s latest addition to his horror creations. Kelce said, “It sounds like everything is going as planned, and I can’t thank him [Murphy] enough for just this opportunity because I’m sure there’s actors out there who have been in the acting world that would die for an opportunity to work with Ryan, and I’m getting it in, really, my first gig ever. So it’s pretty unique and pretty cool.”
