The New York Jets’ latest defeat in Pittsburgh piled more misery on Aaron Rodgers, who was supposed to be their savior this season. Forging a team in New York that had multiple players whom he had previously played with in Green Bay. Rodgers doesn’t seem to have enough charisma, as he continues to fail in changing their fortunes after seven weeks.
Newly signed WR Davante Adams, who was supposed to make his electrifying debut, didn’t meet expectations. As Rodgers defended him appearing on the Pat McAfee show, “The Steelers had a good plan, and there weren’t a lot of outside freebies. There was a few opportunities that we had, but Davante Adams hadn’t played in a couple of weeks. You’re gonna see his role expand as we move forward.” The Jets’ receivers failed to show any firepower as Adams and Wilson mustered only eight receptions for 91 yards on 18 targets.

Well, these weren’t the numbers the Jets were looking at when they brought Adams into the roster. Apart from Adams, who only managed 3 catches for 30 yards on nine targets. Their other receiver, Garrett Wilson, had a costly interception during the third quarter. As Rodgers threw him the pass over the traffic, the football ricocheted off his chest into the hands of Steelers nickel back Beanie Bishop Jr. Even, Rodgers, after the clash, called it “a s—– interception,” as it changed the game.
After turning it over at the Jets 1-yard line, the Steelers completed that turnover with a TD, thereby giving them a two-point lead at halftime. Well, Rodgers didn’t also have a great game as he struggled with an apparent hamstring injury. Finishing his night with 24-of-39 passes for 276 yards, his two interceptions showed the lack of accuracy he had. Rodgers only managed to complete 13 of his 25 passes made to wideouts. And his most effective combination came with RB Breece Hall, who racked up six catches for 103 yards.
Such a performance eventually led to Aaron Rodgers getting shouts of ruining the Jets. As the team that brought him all the resources isn’t doing any good this season.

The Jets decided to part ways with their head coach, Robert Saleh, in order to give them a real chance at qualifying for the playoffs. But after two weeks of his sacking, the Jets are seemingly stuck at the same place as they lost their fourth game in a row. Going through a whirlwind of changes that saw Davante Adams joining and Jeff Ulbrich promoted to interim coach. The Jets are looking towards yet another season without playoffs as their 13-year streak is set to extend.
But who is to blame amid all the dark clouds hovering above the Jets season? Well, after everything that’s going on in New York, only one person remains. And that is the 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers. After the Steelers game, he seemingly acknowledged his lack of output. “I gotta play better, that’s the key. We just don’t do the little things well enough, consistently enough, myself included.” But this wasn’t the first time he came up with an excuse when the Jets lost against the Broncos in week 4. ‘
He only managed to stack up 186 yards and ended up saying, “The weather sucked, but so did some of my throws.” Next week, he had another stinker as Rodgers threw three interceptions against the Vikings, thereby losing the game 23-17. Coming into week 6, we all know what happened as the Jets parted ways with Robert Saleh and removed OC Nathaniel Hackett from play-calling duties. Even that didn’t improve their results, as the Jets lost by a narrow 3 points against the Bills.
