The Super Bowl is nothing new for the seven-time champion. However, this time, Tom Brady was in a different spot: on the mic as a FOX color commentator. So, how did this first-time experience go for the NFL legend? Tom Brady knows the Super Bowl better than anyone. He’s lived it, breathed it, and won it seven times. So when he broke down the experience, from pregame jitters to halftime adjustments, it felt like a rare, inside look. Fans got to see the game through his eyes, making every moment more vivid.
But as the Super Bowl LIX night went on, the constant nods to his legendary career started to wear thin. The reminders of his rings, his records, his past—after a while, it felt like too much. That led many NFL fans to get annoyed by his calling.

In addition, Tom Brady’s arguably cheerful mood during the Chiefs’ failed plays always drew the eyebrows of many. It’s not like every time the NFL fans were unhappy with Tom Brady. For instance, his opinion on the early flag, favoring the Chiefs, went viral too. That time, many supported him, as he showed his disagreement with an offensive pass interference called on A.J. Brown on a fourth-down play in the first quarter.
During that segment, the former quarterback expressed, “Just too critical of a game.” His opinion was liked by many, including the Eagles’ fans. Unfortunately, that fan support didn’t go with him all the time, as his calling soon became questionable to endless NFL fans.
Tom Brady was rooting against Patrick Mahomes?
As a FOX color commentator, you are not allowed to express your love or hatred for any team. But as per NFL fans, Tom Brady broke the rules. During the Super Bowl LIX game, they accused him of being cheerful at the moments of Patrick Mahomes’ failure. We all know that Brady has seven Super Bowls to his name; no one could touch his legacy. But fans accused that as Mahomes is likely to become the next GOAT, and might surpass the NFL legend sometime. Probably, as per accusations, Brady didn’t want the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl LIX and achieve their 3-peat—something that Brady too hasn’t done.
Hence, his calling became questionable to many as one fan said, “Tom Brady put a bad spell on Patrick lmao i’m already knowing (laughing emoji).” This fan thought that Brady had a black magic spell on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, resulting in them losing the game. Another one too chimed in showing their frustration with Brady’s call, “tom brady giggling every time they bring up how bad the chiefs are.” Well, the Chiefs made multiple mistakes in the game, however, the fans think the color commentators portrayed extra.

Hence, a rally against Tom Brady on the internet gained attention as someone commented, “@nfl @FoxNews Tom Brady is really bad at commentary. Not enjoying it at all,” while others wrote, “So bad it’s funny. Brady may be the worst announcer of all time,” or “Woof, Tom Brady is so bad at this.”

Well, the game ended rough for the Chiefs, and perhaps the Super Bowl commentary also ended arguably badly for Tom Brady. This was something interesting to see, especially after Mahomes himself requested Brady earlier – “Even if you root against us, you have to respect us.” What do you think? Did Brady respect Mahomes and the Chiefs?
