On Sunday, a podcaster was on his rant, speaking something off for the Eagles’ quarterback. On this, many Eagles fans hard-trolled the host, and guess what? One fan attracted everyone’s attention.

6’3″ and 252 pounds Abdul Carter is potentially the No. 1 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Switching off his role from linebacker to Edge this season, the Penn State player recorded 12 sacks and 24 tackles over 16 games in 2024. And his dream team? Philadelphia Eagles. He desires to play alongside Jalen Hurts, and he stirred the pot with his comments.

Carter picked up his frustrating mode and typed a comment on the podcaster’s rant—“Ppl just because someone is talking on a microphone don’t mean they know what they talking bout, this ain’t nothing but hate.. Jalen Hurts is a WINNER which is what matters most.. That’s why everyone trying to bring him down. But it’s cool because that means he’s doing something right! Just winning. Don’t feed into this, he just want some clicks.” That’s some serious fanboying there.

It seems Carter isn’t taking any comments against Jalen Hurts in a cool way. Well, fans who saw this comment of his, directly speculated him to be “Future Eagle.

No doubt Carter is a big Eagles’ fan, and the reason is, of course, that he is a Philly native. That’s the reason when Jalen Hurts’s team won the NFC championship, Abdul Carter once again showed his love for the team. He took to his official Instagram account and posted his picture carousel with a caption – “Back to the Bowl (Eagles emojis) We ain’t missing this time.” Now that was far!

Carter called himself and the Eagles team “We!” And with this, he also made sure to write “#1 Pick (infinity sign).” But guess what? He can find himself in a tough spot. Why? Well, Carter wants to be drafted as high as possible, but at the same time, he has a lot of love for Philadelphia. Now here’s the catch. With 30 or 31 picks ahead of the Eagles’s selection, there seems to be some uncertainty in Carter’s entry into Philadelphia.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Abdul Carter's loyalty to the Eagles a smart move, or could it hurt his draft prospects?

Nevertheless, before the Draft, Carter is making sure to show his love for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. But Hurts’s team, on the other side, is facing double issues.

Jalen Hurts’s teammates slapped with fines

The Eagles flew high in the NFC game, drowning the Commanders deep in the sea. However, some plays by Jalen Hurts’s teammates were definitely unappreciated as per the NFL rulebook. As per the reports, the league slapped AJ Brown and Jalen Carter with fines for their unnecessary roughness in their NFC game. Brown was fined $11,255 for a facemask, while Carter got fined $17,445 for striking/kicking/kneeing in the fourth quarter.

So, that means in total it’s a $28,700 fine for the Eagles. The NFL is no new in handing some tough punishments. But pushing them just before the Super Bowl has definitely raised eyebrows. Although Brown mentioned, “[He] engaged me first,” about Commanders’s cornerback Marshon Lattimore for their facemask episode, the NFL showed no mercy on Jalen Hurts’s teammate.
