“Real tough. Divisional game, Primetime…we came out and got our ass kicked. Plain and simple”, said New England Patriots‘ 28-year-old safety Jabrill Peppers after the New York Jets bulldozed past them with a 24-3 victory on Thursday. Following this emphatic win, the Jets’ RB Breece Hall joked about the team’s veteran QB Aaron Rodgers being scared of getting hit.

In the post-game interview, Hall said, “The first time he ran, I kind of started laughing in the back of my head. I was just like, ‘he’s crazy’. But 40-year-old Achilles is good, it was cool to see him run. You could still tell he was scared to get hit…ya it was great it was cool”

The Jets, at the MetLife stadium, were utterly dominant, especially Aaron Rodgers, who showed his true flair in the game. Rodgers passed the ball to everyone around him and completed passes to eight different receivers. On Thursday, he moved in and out of the pocket much better than his first two games of this season. But with such an overall performance from the 40-year-old QB, everything seems like a possibility for the Jets, even winning the Super Bowl.

After starting the season with a loss against the San Francisco 49ers (32-19), the Jets have bounced back in some fashion with two back-to-back wins against the Tennessee Titans (24-17) in Week 2  and now against the New England Patriots (24-3) in Week 3. Robert Saleh and his boys will surely like to keep this winning streak going and add to it when they host the Denver Broncos on September 28, at the MetLife Stadium.

Following a dominant show of football, the Jets’ veteran QB Aaron Rodgers has opened up about his performance during the 24-3 win against the New England Patriots. The 40-year-old talked about how comfortable he felt being in and out of the pockets easily.

In an interview with the sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung, Rodgers said, “I felt pretty good tonight. I was doing some things I did as a younger man. You know, as the game’s going on I’m going to feel more comfortable moving around a little bit. And there were a couple of times where I needed to extend plays.”

The Veteran QB also praised the Jets’ offensive line for keeping him upright throughout the game. Rodgers said he extended, hit Conklin on a couple, one to Allen, and kept the drives going. According to the experienced QB, sometimes in games of this stature, those extra plays are needed. He added, “I used to do it a lot when I was a younger player, but it’s nice to have that element back.”

This was Rodgers’ first appearance at the MetLife stadium since Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season when he suffered an Achilles tear just four plays into his debut. He was out for the rest of the season.
