2-2!! It’s currently a half-glass-empty or half-glass-full situation for the New York Jets. After winning two consecutive games in week 2 and week 3, Robert Saleh’s men faced a narrow 10-9 defeat against the Denver Broncos. However, things inside the Jets’ dressing room don’t seem to be all harmonious, especially between the team’s QB Aaron Rodgers and the HC Saleh.
During the post-game interview at the Metlife, Rodgers turned on Saleh, when he was asked about HC pointing out his cadence as a contributing factor to the Jets’ loss. Rodgers said, “That’s one way to do it. The other way is to hold them accountable. I mean we didn’t have an issue. We had 1 false start, Morgan had one false start, at least until this so. It’s a weapon we use every day in practice. But we rarely have a false start. We had 4-5 today. It seems like an outlier. I don’t know if we need mass changes based on an outlier game.”

Things seem to be falling apart between Rodgers and Saleh for quite some time now. During their week 3 win against the New England Patriots the QB and the HC had an awkward sideline moment. They appeared to be on different pages when Saleh went for a hug, but Rodgers pushed him in the chest. This was after the Jets took a 14-0 lead on Breece Hall’s touchdown run in the game’s second quarter.
However, later in the post-game interview, when asked about this incident, Rodgers justified it was nothing serious but a normal friendly push for the two-score lead. The veteran QB said, “Robert talks a lot about two-score leads. So I just kind of gave him a push and said ‘two-score lead.'”
As of now, it is hard to confirm if there’s some ongoing issue between those two. However, fans hope that even if it is, it shouldn’t affect the team much. After Sunday night’s loss against the Broncos, the Jets will now travel to London, where they will face the Minnesota Vikings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 6, Sunday. The team will surely hope that Rodgers and Roberts can keep their differences aside and work together to help them get back on the winning track and move the record to 3-2.

Aaron Rodgers reflects on his condition and dismisses any serious damage
In the post game interview, Jets’ Aaron Rodgers stated his condition, while shrugging off injury concerns. The veteran QB mentioned being a bit injured. However, he insisted it was nothing too serious. Rodgers said, “Yeah, I’m banged up a little bit”. The team’s head coach Robert Saleh also stumped out any injury scare for Rodgers. He said it was a normal wear and tear and that Rodgers remains healthy and ready.
This injury scare originated during the last moments of the fourth quarter when the veteran QB tottered for a six-yard loss, post-sack. He was hit by Broncos’ 246-pound LB Jonah Elliss and 290-pound DT Malcolm Roach. The play was later ruled as Rodgers being down by contact. Even under such pressure, Rodgers did have a decent game with 225 passing yards and attempted 42 throws. However, he had zero touchdowns.

Now, after this defeat, the Jets are sitting below the undefeated Buffalo Bills in the AFC East with a 2-2 record. They will surely hope not to lose Rodgers at this stage of the season because of any injury. As of now, Rodgers is expected to travel with his team and start against Kevin O’Connell and his boys in England.
