Is it over for Davante Adams? The Raiders wide receiver reportedly wants to be out of Las Vegas. Hence, for this, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 31-year-old has requested the organization for a trade. This has surely created a buzz in social media, and Aaron Rodgers’ teammate didn’t miss the chance to participate in it.
On October 1, 2024, Sauce Gardner made a subtle attempt to express his wish of bringing Davante Adams to the New York Jets. About a few minutes ago, Gardner re-shared a Bleacher Report post on X, which said “Adams has informed the Raiders that he prefers to be traded.” Along with this post, Gardner shared a picture of a person’s legs wearing ballerinas.
Now, with this, he didn’t explain further what he meant to say. But some fans on social media speculated it to be Aaron Rodgers’ legs. Not only that! A few also took it as a moment of joy for Gardner, as according to them, he might be indicating that it’s time to dance.

Nevertheless, it’s a cryptic post by Gardner on Davante Adams’ news, which many find puzzling. However, now, Aaron Rodgers’ teammate has deleted this tweet. Again, the reason is unknown! But he made sure to post another tweet after it. This time, again being cryptic, Gardner shared a picture of Davante Adams, along with “an image of a tattoo on hand showing a baby making a hushing motion.”
Well, this time too, it’s unclear what he meant with this message, but many took it as a subtle hint that Gardner could be encouraging or supporting the idea of Adams joining the Jets. Hence, fans are speculating that it could be his playful way of suggesting a potential move for Davante Adams or showing excitement about the possibility. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Will Davante Adams join the Jets?
Davante Adams is officially on the trade block, and it’s starting to feel like his time in Las Vegas is coming to an end. Multiple reports also hint that both the Raiders and Adams are ready to part ways. Even head coach Antonio Pierce’s cryptic social media activity hints that a trade might be inevitable. So, has the time really come?

Could a Rodgers-Adams reunion turn the Jets into serious Super Bowl contenders?
Have an interesting take?
Talking about his stats, Davante Adams may be 31, but he’s far from done. Just last season, he pulled in over 100 catches, racked up more than 1,100 yards, and scored eight touchdowns, despite the quarterback carousel the team had to deal with. This shows that there’s still plenty of gas left in the tank, making him a prime target for teams looking to level up their offense. So, now the question is which team could it be?
The first team that comes to mind for many is the NY Jets. This team had Super Bowl dreams going into the season, but after a 2-2 start and a brutal 10-9 loss to the Broncos, things are looking shaky. Their offense needs a jolt, and who better to deliver that than Adams?

He already has a strong connection with Aaron Rodgers from their Green Bay days. According to StatMuse, “Adams has had 622 catches for 7,590 yards and has scored 69 touchdowns in 108 games with Aaron Rodgers in his career.” Hence, reuniting with his former quarterback could be the magic that sparks the Jets’ offense back to life.
So, as per many fans, Adams to the Jets just makes sense. It’s like everything is lining up for this move to happen – just a matter of when, not if. Besides this, other teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Commanders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs, are also considered to be the perfect landing spots for Davante Adams.
