Can we expect a Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers reunion? Unfortunately, not in the near future. But the wide receiver has made it clear that if he leaves the Raiders, he will definitely team up with his former partner in the offense.
The Green Bay Packers duo parted ways in 2022 when Adams was traded to Las Vegas while A-Rod joined the New York Jets. Reunion rumors were sparked off when the quarterback said he expressed how he “can’t wait to play with him …again.” While his agent has denied all trade rumors, Adams reiterated his bond with his former teammate.

The 31-year-old receiver was asked if he’ll consider joining forces with Rodgers again on the Club Shay Shay podcast, to which Adams had a clear reply. “I’ll answer it like this,” he said. “If I’m being reunited with anybody, it would be Aaron…or be, you know, relocated and be anywhere it would be with Aaron.” He further addressed the constant speculations swirling last year about his departure from Green Bay.
“You know, there’s a lot of added stuff going on last year in the media,” Adams shared. “And them asking you know what you gonna do about this. Are you thinking about going here? And they talk about whatever without me even being involved in it, and it ended up getting all the way to the point where it got in the locker room.” After a tough last year with the Raiders, rumors flew of the three-time All-Pro possibly trading to the Jets, which was especially fuelled by Rodgers’ recent cryptic statement. However, all hopes of the reunion were soon crushed as Adams’ agents, cleared the air.

“I love Davante, I can’t wait to play with him,” Rodgers said earlier this week via Vegas Sports Today. This statement, however, was followed by a slight pause, after which the QB added, “Again.” Adams himself confirmed that his former teammate has been “in the ear” when asked about a possible trade to the Jets. However, the WR reiterated that he’s a “Raider,” so a reunion might not be in the picture at the moment.
“Oh, he’s [Aaron Rodgers] in that ear,” said Adams on the Up&Adams Show.”That’s for sure. He’s in the ear, but you know, it’s not as easy as you know. Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I’m a Raider.” furthermore, his agents dropped a crisper and louder clarification today. Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer were reported to have shared, “This is baseless, unfounded speculation and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk – period.”
