Has Zach Wilson finally found his rhythm with the flailing New York Jets? The Jets’ landslide win over the Houston Texans came after a long time and they might have regained their faith in Wilson once again. The QB has gone through a lot of re-shuffling and a tough time with the Jets as a whole, bringing positivity through his redemption now. He once again grabbed the starter QB place ahead of Trevor Siemian and Tim Boyle after being dropped for multiple games.
In the wake of this much-needed win, Aaron Rodgers came forward and gave his two cents on the match on his weekly segment on the Pat McAfee show. The Jets are now 5-8 and have 4 more games to prove their mettle in the 2023 season. Their chances of growing success look better than ever this season, with the probable chance of Aaron Rodgers making his comeback for the game around Christmas.

Pat McAfee was awestruck with Wilson’s ball placement and his confidence. He talked to Rodgers about the team’s second-half performance when Zach Wilson made two major TD passes in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the game. His first TD came from a 15-yard pass he made to Randall Cobb. The next one came in the 4th quarter when he made a 3-yard pass to Breece Hall.
Addressing the same, McAfee asked Rodgers “Why do you think he had so much success in the second half, in those conditions, with where he was putting the ball, how decisive he was, how confident he looked, like why do you think that happened this past weekend, Aaron?”
He added about what the senior player thought of the young QB’s direct approach in the game, and how Rodgers perceived it as a spectator from off the field. Rodgers mentioned that Wilson finally gained a rhythm with the Jets and thanks to the play callers, the Jets’ QB got plenty of opportunities to show his skills in this game.
Per the former Packers’ QB, Zach Wilson finding his rhythm led to about 10 straight passes in the Texans clash. “It’s pretty crazy though, we haven’t scored 30 in the last 4 games” pointed out Rodgers as the Jets finally overcame a 5-game losing streak. His comment reflected how challenging the game of football is, with each match bringing varied aspects forth for a player.
According to Rodgers, it was the simple plays that did the trick for Wilson and the Jets. It was that time of the week when Wilson finally made some big plays. He briefly talked about Jeremy Ruckert’s role in the win as he made some consistent catches throughout the game, with Rodgers saying that he was “very happy for Zach” after his 30-point game.
Well, it wasn’t just Wilson who was responsible for the win. Breece Hall and Jeremy Ruckert did a phenomenal as Wilson’s weapons, astonishing the Texans in a completely dominant clash.
