20 years ago, Aaron Rodgers entered the league. He played alongside Brett Favre and battled the likes of Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning. The man still looks extraordinary. But as of now, things aren’t going right. Neither for him nor for New York Jets. And after consecutive losses, there are distinct chatters from different corners.

While talking about the situation on ESPN Unsportsmanlike Show recently, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky claimed that Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett need to be blamed for the poor performance of the Jets. His exact words were, “It’s both of those guys, right now, not getting the offense going.” Then, he suddenly mentioned the much hyped trade of WR Davante Adams.

While mentioning about the ways to improve the offense, the ex-NFLer advised the Jets and added, “I believe this offense, they have no choice but to go get Davante.” He gave reasons that Adams was better than current WRs in the team. The ex-QB also cautioned that they will need players to play against Ravens, Chiefs, and Texans in the coming weeks.

This advice comes a few hours after the Jets had a supposed locker room cold war. CB Sauce Gardner took shots at Aaron Rodgers for poor passing in a now deleted tweet. But we got the tweet before it was removed and it read, “If a QB throws the ball and it is blanket coverage, they are 100% throwing the ball and hoping it’s a flag. lol.” Even though Gardner removed the tweet for understandable reasons, one thing is sure: Rodgers has to give results if he wants his position to stay intact.

Amidst the shenanigans, the Jets’ QB must be wishing for someone with good chemistry on the team. And that’s where Davante Adams comes in—hopefully.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Davante Adams wants to move to a team where he has familiar players. Jets have Aaron Rodgers. Another such team has been New Orleans Saints where he has Derek Carr as the leader of the team. But several other teams have also thrown their hat in the ring to cash-in the trade.

Chiefs are also discussing the possibility of a trade after Rashee Rice got injured. Similarly, Steelers want to bring in Adams to bolster their offense. But there’s no set time for the trade to happen or if it will happen. Everyone’s on edge about the whole situation, and one question remains: Will fans see the Rodgers-Adams chemistry on field once again?
