Aaron Rodgers had a whimsical start to this year. But as soon as the season kicked off, he encountered a nightmare that neither he nor his fans expected. Rodgers tore his Achilles in his debut game with the New York Jets, and after multiple weeks, he is back on the field and on the roster as well.
The Jets are no longer in the playoff race and have only one game to wrap up the season. Despite being on the roster, the four-time MVP isn’t active yet due to ongoing recovery procedures. But his support is with his team for the game against the Patriots. As the year drew to a close and his season ended, A-Rod took the time to reflect on his turbulent year and share his thoughts with his fans.

Aaron Rodgers shared his most profound thoughts about how his 2023 year went in an Instagram story. He shared a post of the “Spirit Daughter” Instagram account, which notes, “I met the saddest and happiest version of myself this year.” For him, the saddest would definitely be his Achilles injury, which he sustained in just four snaps of the Bills game after being sacked by defensive end Leonard Floyd.
At that moment, he was seen frustrated, sitting on the ground before being helped off the field to the locker room in a cart. And for the happiest version, fans believe Rodgers’ never-give-up attitude and positive outlook helped him return to health quickly, landing on the roster within three months of his severe injury.
Indeed, it was a topsy-turvy year for Aaron Rodgers.

In this NFL season, two players stand out for having more disappointing seasons than others: Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. Initially joining a new team as the happiest person in the league, Rodgers faced unexpected setbacks. Although his Achilles injury didn’t sideline him for long, thanks to his determination and “speed bridge,” his year concluded without him playing for his team. With only two days left until the New Year, Rodgers has already made his resolutions clear for the upcoming year.
His resolution extends beyond making a comeback in the next season, helping his team secure a playoff spot, and attempting to end a 54-year Super Bowl win drought. He also expressed his intentions to continue playing into his 40s. In an interview, A-Rod said, “I thought that I’d probably be sitting on the couch somewhere at 40, but now I want to be a starter at 40. I want to be a starter at 41. I want to see what I can get out of this body.” Fans hope his resolutions for the team and the league come true next year.
