When will the New York Jets get on the winning path? This question is glaring in the eyes of Gang Green. Last year, they got veteran Aaron Rodgers to lead them. However, he got injured in the first game and missed the entire season. This year started with high hopes, with Rodgers back to full health. But 7 weeks in, they have almost crashed. Even firing Robert Saleh hasn’t worked. The team is now sitting on a 2-5 win-loss record. Now analysts are questioning their locker room.
Super Bowl winner, Chris Canty, made a pretty mean remark on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike show: “I mean, here’s the thing. The last couple of years in Green Bay, we suspected that Aaron Rodgers could be a little bit toxic especially with a young team.” He’s somewhat right. His final 2 seasons with the Packers were full of tense moments.

During the 2021 season with the Packers, he put the whole team in danger as he partied with them, despite being unvaccinated. His actions attracted an individual fine of $14,650 apart from $300,000 for the team. In 2022, his final season, there were some contract disputes. Aaron Rodgers later played with a broken thumb but failed to take the team to playoffs.
Comparing that situation with his current form, Canty added, “I had no idea that it would be this bad. I mean, this guy is like a cancer that has metastasized within the New York Jets organization and I don’t know how they fix it.” Though that might be an extrapolation, the results haven’t helped the Jets either.
This year, he hasn’t been able to take them to enough wins. His form has been dipping too. To give you an idea, in 2008, his debut season, he had 13 interceptions in 16 games. This year alone, he has 7 interceptions in 7 games. There are 10 more games to go. Can the signal caller improve and not better his worst record? It might happen, but the situation doesn’t look promising.

Jeff Saturday trolled the veteran on ESPN’s Get Up Show and asked if his words met his actions. He called Rodgers hypocritical for trying to send messages to his locker room through the shows instead of being serious about the situation. There’s no denial there. The Jets are in a mess. Their worries might increase soon.
Aaron Rodgers is struggling with multiple injuries. He injured his hamstring against the Steelers. That’s in addition to both knees and low ankle sprain injuries. Can they overcome it? Looks hard. But with years of experience, he might be their savior. Gang Green believes he can.
