Does Aaron Rodgers' lavish estate reflect his legendary status, or is it just over-the-top extravagance?

It was the summer of 2013 when Aaron Rodgers received a five-year $110 million extension. Two years down the line, in 2015, he bought an exquisite mansion in Oneida. Yes, it is the same mansion that he offered to Jordan Love!

The best part about the 10,500 sq ft property for a football player is that it is a 20-minute drive to the Lambeau Field. Apart from this, the interiors of the house also are exceptionally eye-catching. The wooden theme seems to be very common in Rodgers’ Wisconsin home. Hardwood floors, wooden cabinets, vintage lights, and hanging candle holders, the estate has it all. But most importantly, beautiful nature surrounds his 5.32-acre property.

Further, the property has a dedicated arcade room, an office/library, a poker room, a billiards room, and a brick theatre. Of course, the place also has a bar and a gourmet kitchen! Alongside this, the luxurious place offers four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There’s an indoor swimming pool to beat the heat and a hot tub when you just want to relax, as well as a sports facility to test your physical prowess.

Rodgers got the place for $1.74 million nine years ago, but that was after a hefty $400k discount. While the numbers seem big despite the discount, Rodgers’ house wasn’t even close to being the most expensive one in the neighborhood. It was a French-style chateau worth $8.4 million, that held the title at that time. The place had a sauna, a wine cellar, two garages, and eight bedrooms spread over three levels.

While the neighborhood suited Rodgers well, his home in Wisconsin previously was in Suamico. It was a four-bedroom ranch-style house, which he bought for $442,500 in 2005 and unfortunately sold for a loss at $424,900 in 2017. A year before this, in 2016, Rodgers had sold another house in Hobart for $645,000.

He further also sold a $5.13 million mansion in Del Mar, CA in 2021 and that’s not even the tip of the iceberg. He formerly had a beach house in Malibu, CA, that he got with Danica Patrick, a former race car driver. He purchased that house from the British pop singer Robbie Williams for $28 million! Then there are some other properties in Chico, CA too that the NFL star holds to his name.

However, coming back to his mansion in Oneida, will Jordan Love buy it from his mentor? When Jordan Love signed a $220 million contract extension with the Packers, Rodgers was quick to joke about selling his house to Love.

Will Jordan Love take up Aaron Rodgers’s offer?

Is the 40-year-old ready to sell the place? That isn’t known. However, what’s clear is that Rodgers has a lot of memories attached to the place. An insider reported last December, “He [Rodgers] has no plans to sell the home at the moment. He still has a lot of his things there and considers the place of sentimental value.”

But just like he passed on his QB position to Jordan Love, the Super Bowl XLV winner might end up selling his home to Love, too. Recently, while congratulating the young QB on securing a massive 4-year $220 million deal with the Green Bay Packers, the former Packers star had a special humorous offer to make.

“First of all, since you mentioned it, I want to give a shout-out to Jordan Love becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL,” Rodgers said to Brian Baldinger and Judy Battista. “Don’t spend it all in one place, but if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay that’s up for sale.”

Rodgers’s successor did not shy away from answering, “Nah, man.” While NFL Network analyst Steve Smith even jokingly hinted toward a “Hometown discount” for the house, Love had other plans in mind as he pointed out, “A-Rod, I won’t be buying your house, man. But I’ll go check on it, make sure it’s well taken care of. But yeah, if you wanna hit me up with a deal …”

Thanks to the huge deal, the player will average $55 million every year. This tied him with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

Before this, the Packers had signed Love to a one-year extension in May 2023. This guaranteed $13.5m with an addition of $9m in incentives. This deal gave the team an opportunity to watch Love enter his first season after Rodgers was traded to the Jets.
