Last month, during his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Aaron Rodgers revealed he has a new girlfriend. Rodgers mentioned her name and offered a glimpse into their holiday plans and how their celebrations nearly went awry. But as the veteran QB gears up for a new chapter in his life in the backdrop of the turmoil at the New York Jets, his ex-girlfriend, who once made headlines with Drake, is stealing the show.

When Rodgers first arrived to be a part of the Jets in 2o23, he was linked with model Mallory Edens, the daughter of Wes Edens, who is one of the primary owners of the Milwaukee Bucks. In January 2023, PEOPLE reported that a source confirmed that the two were “more than friends, but it’s casual. He’s not looking to rush into anything. It’s low-key for now.” The pair were also seen at a Bucks vs. Lakers game a month before this update, celebrating Rodgers’ birthday.

However, it looks like they have moved on from each other, though, it is unclear when they split up. Regardless, Edens showed no breakup hangover as she welcomed the new year in style. She shared a post on Instagram, where we can see her dazzling in a chic black dress, with a backless design and thin straps. The outfit appears to include a form-fitting, sheer lower section. She accessorized her look with a small, multicolored shoulder bag and had her hair tied back in a sleek ponytail.

One slide included a stock image with the cryptic text: “Reading my old journal entries and I know her but she doesn’t know me.”  Another featured a clip from The Hours, with Meryl Streep’s character, Clarissa Vaughan, reflecting on a moment of fleeting happiness.

Mallory’s reference to The Hours resonated with themes of transformation and self-awareness. “I remember one morning getting up at dawn, there was such a sense of possibility. You know, that feeling? And I remember thinking to myself: So, this is the beginning of happiness. This is where it starts. And of course, there will always be more. It never occurred to me it wasn’t the beginning. It *was* happiness. It was the moment. Right then,” Streep’s character, Clarissa Vaughan could be seen uttering these lines in the clip. And the movie’s connection to Virginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway further deepened the post’s literary undertones.

But fans were captivated by her look and shared their delightful reactions to her post.

One fan termed her “Absolutely gorgeous,” while another wished her and admired her look writing, “Happy New Years Mallory! You look very pretty. Best to you and your family. Go Bucks! ❤️ Hugs, from Northern, Illinois. LBR.” 

Praising her looks further, a fan noted, “dam Mallory your hot, hope to see you at a game, I live in Milwaukee.” The comment section was filled with praises and wishes for Edens, with another user commenting, “Beautiful 😍. Happy New year Mallory.”

According to Eden’s Instagram, she has been signed by several modeling agencies, including Ford Models, Women Management, and One Management. She has also founded her own production company named “Little Ray Media.” Apart from Rodgers, Eden also has a history with Drake, though that connection is purely sports-based.

During Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2019 NBA Playoffs between the Bucks and the Raptors, Eden showed up in a shirt with an image of Pusha T, the rapper who was involved in an explosive feud with Drake. In turn, Drake responded by changing his IG profile picture to that of Eden. He also shared a photo of her on his Instagram Story and wrote, “All is fair in war and war and trust me I’ll still get you tickets to OVO fest.”

Meanwhile, Rodgers did raise eyebrows when he confirmed that he has a new girlfriend named Brittani on The Pat McAfee Show on December 23. When McAfee and co-host A.J. Hawk teased him for “being in love,” Rodgers admitted, “It’s a good feeling, boys.”

Rodgers added that Brittani isn’t on social media, but she is a fan of McAfee. During the conversation, the Jets QB also revealed that he has switched to online shopping for most of his needs and that there was a delay in one of the Christmas packages meant for Brittani.

“I was a little worried ’cause there was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t showed up yet. I was waiting on it to show up. And it showed up today. We’re all set. All my stuff for the (offensive) line is done, all my stuff for the QB room is done,” he mentioned.

While Rodgers’s personal life has been going smoothly, his stint at the Jets has been full of turmoil.

A shift in Rodgers’s mindset?

On the football front, A-Rod added his own layer of intrigue by addressing potential changes with the Jets. “I think there’s going to be change here,” Rodgers admitted during a reflective press conference on January 1, adding, “If I’m part of the change, then I just want to make sure everybody knows I have nothing but gratitude for my time here… I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to be a part of, what I’ve been able to accomplish, and I’m also looking forward to a nice mental and physical rest.” In his statements, he emphasized gratitude for his journey. But didn’t shy away from acknowledging professional uncertainty.

Rodgers’s tenure with the Jets has been pretty turbulent. The quarterback’s future with the team is also clouded, with reports of an exit flying around. Things look grimmer than ever before for A-Rod after a major Achilles injury in 2023 and a tough 4-12 season in 2024. Despite his struggles, Rodgers expressed pride in his accomplishments and hinted at needing a mental and physical reset.

“This game has given me a lot. I’ve given a lot back to it, and I’m thankful for it,” Rodgers said. His words carried a tone of both closure and possibility, leaving fans wondering whether he’ll stay with the Jets or retire.
