Life is full of setbacks and comebacks! The trick is to come back stronger after a setback. We haven’t seen much from Aaron Rodgers since September 2023 owing to his injury against the Bills. Well, a long absence from action despite being on the path of recovery, he still became an easy prey for criticizers. But, it seems like A-Rod has his own way of dealing with that.

On the Up & Adams show of 1st August, A-Rod came up with a confident answer after being questioned about his nature of doing ‘whatever’ he wanted and his evolution in the last 19 years. “I think I’m little less reactive, little less triggered, by certain things,” said Rodgers. Moreover, he justified his ‘matured’ nature by emphasizing the importance of ‘meditation’ in his life, “I’ve enjoyed meditating more, reading more, relaxing more“. It seems like he wanted to be mentally stable amidst his doomed start in 2024. Even though he is fit now, he missed a week of the Jets’ training camp.

A-Rod wanted to come back with a fresh mental state, as he planned for the Egypt trip in June. Setting a clear reason for his absence from the mandatory training camp, the Jets’ QB was thought to be “skirting responsibilities” per Kay. But it seems like Rodgers had his ears closed to these critics. And why so?

His team became his biggest strength against the criticism. The Jets knew about his pre-planned trip and thus any criticism of that was not their cup of tea. Despite being disappointed, the HC chose to support his QB. Moreover, as soon as he could walk, Rodgers was back on the sidelines in October 2023, as the Green and White became the reason for the first loss of the Eagles. Furthermore, Rodgers was seen on the Jets’ voluntary activities in April, which marked his dedication to his team.

Feels like getting criticised didn’t matter at all for the Jets and their QB. As a result, clapping back at Kay’s dig was easy for A-Rod. As the season nears, we all wait for the return of Aaron as a groundbreaking QB for the Jets.

Aaron Rodgers’ current scenario with the Jets

Rodgers might miss his pre-season, as Robert Saleh said, “My instinct is no, but I want to leave it open” to the New York Media. Owing to his miscommunication with Wilson and completing less than 50% of team drills, the HC further indicated that fans won’t see A-Rod until the end of the first two preseason games, “That third game is what we’re deciding.” It looks like Rodgers has to wait for some time before he can come back hard. Till now, he has a 2023 pre-season record of 5 out of 8 passes, a 48-yard coverage, and a nice TD pass to Garrett Wilson. Well, what are Aaron’s takes on the decision of his HC?

”It was a news to me,” said Rodgers in response after he heard the decision of Robert. But at the same time, he expressed his wish to play in the pre-season if the decision changed. Moreover, he still remains on his mission to lead the Jets to victory, “It’s the same standard I hold myself to on the practice field of excellence of detail and preparation”. Even though his return to the first games of pre-season is still in doubt, it looks like the QB is determined to beat the odds.

As the 2024 season knocks on the door, we wait to see Aaron Rodgers’ comeback. Will this year take all the dark clouds off Aaron? Let’s see what fate has planned for him.
