Aaron Rodgers reveals the reality of the ‘bong’ breaking video. On Thursday, ESPN New York released a video of A-Rod, dropping a mysterious box and ultimately breaking the inside content, which was a beaker, on the sidelines. Since the release of this video, many started demanding answers about the reality of that beaker from the four-time MVP.
Even the 39-year-old’s ex-teammate, Green Bay Packers’ offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, tweeted that he wanted answers from Rodgers about the same, as it looked like “a big triangular beaker he’d used in science class.” Many even thought that the beaker full of liquid was a “bong,” i.e. generally used for smoking substances. But, now the source of the incident himself came up to reveal the reality.

Aaron Rodgers recently appeared on the Pat McAfee show once again to answer the audience’s questions. The former NFL punter asked him about the inside content of the beaker which he broke during the New York Jets vs Los Angeles Chargers game on Monday.
McAfee enquired if it was bong as people suspected due to Rodgers’ quick actions to cover it up. With a humorous laugh, A-Rod replied, “It was not a bong, first of all…It was a bottle of tequila [given as a gift] and I lost half of it.” He revealed the name of the person giving him the gift to be the ESPN Deportes sideline reporter John Sutcliffe.
While the footballer gave a simple answer, the discussion panel did not seem convinced. They were quick to refute back, asking if the QB was hiding things, to which Rodgers was seen giving a hearty laugh and answering in negative.
With this revelation, Aaron Rodgers put an end to all the “bong” rumors to rest. However, he hasn’t put rest to any speculation regarding his current return to the gridiron, keeping the NFL world completely curious.

Aaron Rodgers is on a speedy recovery as he was seen throwing a ball, putting pressure on his recovering Achilles, and being back with the Jets’ side for practice recently. It was revealed that A-Rod had a special kind of surgery that used a “speed bridge” to accelerate the rehabilitation process.
When in a normal Achilles tear surgery, the expected recovery is about 6-12 months, here in Rodgers’ case it is likely to be about 3-4 months only. And probably that’s why, the quarterback recently told the Chargers’ Derwin James Jr., that he will be “playing in a few weeks,” giving complete hope to the Jets side.

While it’s difficult to pinpoint an exact date for his return to the gridiron, the fact that he is already throwing the ball just five weeks after surgery hints that Rodgers is likely to return soon this season, as “anything is possible” for him.
