Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers hailed the Browns’ recent addition before their next clash. It’s a story of a comeback that has taken the NFL community by storm. A legend of the game has returned to the gridiron from the ashes. The Browns are reaping the benefit of trusting a former adversary as they signed legendary QB Joe Flacco.
In the latest edition of “The Pat McAfee Show,” A-Rod praised the former NFL MVP. In just four games, Joe Flacco has taken the Browns to No. 5 seed in the NFL. The former Super Bowl champ leads other QBs and has amassed 1,307 passing yards. He has matched Matthew Stafford and Brock Purdy by securing the most (10) TDs after his return. Rodgers discussed in detail what makes this comeback much sweeter.

While admiring the Jets’ win 30-28 over the Commanders, Rodgers looked ahead to the next battle with the Browns on Thursday. He brought up 39-year-old QB Joe Flacco in the mix as Flacco gets ready to play against his former team. AJ started the discussion around Flacco’s exceptional return from Neverland, “How impressive it is to watch Joe Flacco play?” He made the point that he was busy with life after parting ways with the Jets.
He further asked about Flacco’s success after the Browns signing, “How productive he is being on the field?” He asked A-Rod to shed light on the matter, as it is difficult for someone else to understand. Rodgers replied, “I don’t think anybody can understand that.” He pointed out the difficulties of getting older and, side by side, maintaining your shape when not working. Rodgers further appreciated Flacco on his first drive of the season, “Classic Joe Flacco, one ball for a touchdown.”

He reminded us, “Joe is one of the prettiest throwers of the football.” He appreciated the Browns’ offense in making receiving yards but admired Flacco, who “has always been a great deep ball thrower.” He is happy for Flacco on his inspiring return and gave insights on their relationship, “Kind of run into him a few times over the years but always been told that we would be friends if we spent time together. Whatever that means.”
Rodgers ended the sentence with a chuckle. McAfee replied hilariously and brought ayahuasca into the mix cheekily, “Maybe that’s what he was doing the whole first half of the season, plants.” The comment left everyone in splits, and Rodgers sarcastically added, “Could have been.”
