Despite beating the best team in the NFC, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is as humble as they come. The team is the best in the league as of now, with a 12-3 record, and will be visited by the Miami Dolphins soon. Speaking about humility, Lamar Jackson thinks and holds Tua Tagovailoa in high regard, and why not? The Dolphins have created their own lane and are the fastest offense in the league after all.
Jackson, who came out in a presser amongst a lot of other things, addressed the next match against the Dolphins and disclosed how much he respected Tua Tagovailoa. If Tagovailoa has that much respect in the eyes of the Baltimore QB, does that mean we can expect a tough match-up?

In this presser, the Baltimore signal caller was asked about why he has come to respect Tua Tagovailoa so much and what sticks out about him. Lamar Jackson, who has been familiar with the Dolphins’ QB since his college days, recalled a time in the QB’s career when he managed to win a college game with poise.
He said, “Tua is a phenomenal player, I believe. You know, I’ve seen him; I think he was playing Georgia in uh National Championship game. I think they took one quarterback out and put him in; he threw a game-winning touchdown. After that, bro, I was like, he is amazing. I just fell in love with his game then and his poise in the game, and stuff like that. And I believe he was winning the Heisman one year, and I’m DM’ed like, Bro, you need to win the Heisman bro, I voted for you.”

While this sense of admiration is good to have, this is going to be the Dolphins’ true test. Till now, the NFL community thought that the Dolphins used to fold in front of strong teams. However, this is their chance to prove everyone wrong. Also, Tua Tagovailoa is in the MVP race, just like Lamar Jackson.

Will Jackson be able to beat Tua for the MVP?
At this point, the chances of Lamar overtaking Tua Tagovauiloa are close. Because he beat Brock Purdy in the MVP race, his expectations are high. Also, being the leader of the best team in the league comes with an advantage for Lamar Jackson. On paper, Tua Tagovailoa is the No. 1 QB in the league after he beat the Dallas Cowboys. He has 4,214 yards to his name this season and 26 TDs as well. Whereas for Lamar Jackson, he is way behind the Dolphins’ QB with 3,357 passing yards and 19 TDs.

On the field, Lamar Jackson is a different breed. He rarely throws any picks, and that is one of the main reasons why the Ravens are one of the strongest teams in the league. No turnovers mean more chances of winning. Who do you think should win the MVP this year? Comment down below.
