The best games are always saved for the last. And this week’s pick is the 49ers vs the Bills coming back to Primetime on Sunday Night Football. Streaming live from the NBC network, both teams will have a chance to seal their playoff spots this season. But the question is who will be tasked to announce the game and keep the fans on edge for this enthralling clash in Buffalo.

Well, it will mark Cris Collinsworth’s return to announcing duties after his short sabbatical on Thanksgiving week. He and Mike Tirico will be there for you to call the game play-by-play. To make the fans’ experience more engaging, Melissa Stark will be there on the sidelines, offering occasional updates.

This game would be huge for both sets of franchises. One is coming off fresh from their bye week in hopes of securing the playoff with a win on Sunday. And the other is trying to get off the foot of their division. With a record of 5-6, the Niners need a win to stay in the race of playoffs. Otherwise, last season’s Super Bowl runner-up might not even make it to the playoffs. But seeing the record of the Bills in prime time clash this season. The Niners shouldn’t get their hopes up at all.

This would be the fifth time the Buffalos are going to play in prime time. Having won 3 out of their 4 clashes, the Bills would surely like to add more to that total. And going by the last four years under lights on prime time, the Bills have won 17 clashes. But there could be a snowstorm waiting for them in Buffalo. And could make it difficult for both the announcers and players to do their tasks properly both away and on the gridiron.

49ers vs the Bills set to take place on snow-capped gridiron

Although there are weather forecast alerts on heavy snowfall in Buffalo when the Bills vs the 49ers get underway, those warnings still don’t tether Josh Allen. When asked to offer his thoughts on playing in the snow, Allen was like, “I feel like I’m very comfortable with whatever weather elements are thrown our way, and that’s kind of just the nature of the beast of playing here in Buffalo. You have to deal with elements like this.” However, for the 49ers, it would surely be an uphill task if it does snow. Because from playing in the scorching conditions of the Bay Area, they would have to deal with probably a blizzard.

So, it would be a testament to their determination to get something out of this clash. If not, they could find themselves heading toward an early exit. Even the Bills’ head coach, Sean McDermott, believes they have the upper hand in such adversities, “Yes, from a preparation standpoint. We’ve been through it before. We have some experience with it. We can’t control the weather. I think it’s really about just how we respond to it.”
